  1. It took me five days to get my oath ceremony after the interview in San Jose. They assigned it to the next available ceremony day; they don't do it every day. You may receive the oath ceremony notice within a few weeks. So you are almost finished, congrats!
  2. Great news! I've got my passport, and the bureaucratic journey is finally over. Wishing good luck and a lot of patience to everyone who's still waiting for their turn!
  3. Great! That was an American-style oath ceremony, almost like a drive-through experience, with three queues of cars driving towards the officer and stepping outside only to take the actual oath. It seems our field office is a bit slow. From the experiences of other people, they usually get their interviews within 3-4 months nowadays. It took me about 6 months to get an interview, and it was a worrying experience. I'm glad that it's over. I applied for the passport on the same day, and I hope it won't take another half a year to receive it Congratulations to you too!
  4. The passport service can be a roller coaster for some. Reserve your international travel and expedite your passport at the agency if you need it quickly. Good luck!
  5. My oath ceremony was today, on Friday, October 27, in San Jose, CA. It took 170 days since I submitted my N-400 in May. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting.
  6. I see you are the mother of this thread, N-400 May 2023. Congratulations on becoming a new citizen! 🇺🇸🎉
  7. My application was filed 10 days ahead of yours, and today I received a status update indicating that the interview is scheduled for the end of October. I hope you will get your appointment really soon, and just need a bit of patience.
  8. Remember, you're not alone in this journey. I am overthinking too, collecting every bit of information, which feels like a total waste of time. My biometrics appointment was scheduled about a month after I filed my N-400 online. The Emma agent told me that my case is still at NBC 😒
  9. I filed my application with the San Jose Field Office in early May, and my current case status is "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS." I'm curious if anyone else in the same boat?
