  1. Hi everyone. I'm a Canadian married to an American. I have my consular interview late next month in Montreal. I just have a couple of quick questions. 1) Do I need to bring my spouse's original birth certificate? We submitted a scan online -- can I print that off for the consular interview? 2) Will the pending government shutdown affect my interview date or subsequent visa processing? 3) I visited my spouse in the US for just under six months while our i-130 was under review. Initially, I was told by US Customs and Border Security that Canadians can visit the US without a visa for up to six months at a time without issue. However, the last time I entered the US, I was limited to two weeks and told to wait in Canada for my visa once the two weeks were up. Will this be an issue at my consular interview? I disclosed this information in our online filing, but I just wanted to check if anyone has received pushback about this at their interview. Thanks a lot.
