Thanks for the guidance!!! I was struggling to find where I can research my case. I thought because it was a K-1 , it would've been non-immigrant. At the moment, it looks like it is still at the NVC (so more waiting).

Hi, I received my I-797 after filing an I-129F petition which has the "Notice date of March, 15th 2024". From what I understand, it takes about 2 weeks for the NVC to process a case. I have been waiting for almost a month now, and still not received anything from the NVC about my case being entered into their system. When I reached out on their public inquiry email, they assigned me a new case number (which I'm guessing they did enter my information in), and gave me a generic answer of "NVC is not able to predict how long the process takes". However, if they gave me a new case number, is it safe to assume that my case was entered into the system? If so, does anyone how long does it take to receive a letter in the mail notifying me, or do I have to wait for the US embassy in Vietnam send a letter when the NVC sends it over there? Is there a way where I can look up the new case number the NVC provided in their system to see where the case is currently? I am a little anxious as the length of time of processing is not matching with what I am reading as the I-797 is only valid for 4 months, until 07/15/2024. If anyone has any input, it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!
