  1. From the VJ K1 flowchart. Items 7 and 8 sound like stuff will be sent to Dina. This is where my concern lies.
  2. Aloha, I was reading a very old post (2008 I think), and they we're discussing a K1 case being "touched". I read this to mean as something as trivial as it being moved from one bin to another - or it could indicate something more significant. Are "touches" still a thing and it so, how do we know if we been "touched"? Mahalo, Bill and Dina

  4. I created a USCIS account. I can change my address but not Dina's.
  5. But won't things be sent to her before the DS-160 comes into play? I'm not knowledgeable about the timing of this stuff.
  6. Aloha, We received our NOA1 May 14th.. We just received a new approval estimate of August 23rd. Dina will be moving in the next few weeks and the address on the I-129F will no longer be valid. What problems will that cause - if any? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  7. Receipt number is the WAC......? Will this tell us when our stuff gets transferred from the lockbox to CA? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  8. Mahalo. Your reply was very helpful. Based on what you said, Dina has 0% chance of getting a transit visa. There are other ways she could get to Tahiti but they are long and expensive. You said Tahiti was tough to begin with. Is that because of their French ties, or is that Tahiti being Tahiti? I ask because there are a couple other possibilities that have French ties (Wallis and Futuna, New Caledonia etc..). Would they also be problems?? Fiji was another place we considered. Also, Palau as you can arrive there non-stop from Manila. Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  9. "check your receipt number for any updates on the USCIS website. " Please more detail
  10. Aloha, Dina and I received our NOA1 last week Have we entered an informational black hole until the NOA2 arrives?? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  11. Aloha, Dina and I are beginning to think about a second visit. We are considering Tahiti. Hawaiian flies non-stop to Pape`ete every Saturday. So logically it makes sense for Dina to take Philippines Air to Honolulu, then we fly together to Pape`ete. As I understand, Dina would need a transit visa to pass thru HNL. Does anybody have experience with these?? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  12. Aloha, I have worked in IT all my life and I have never seen a site so junked up by ad's (almost all appear to be Google ad's). Even with my background, I find myself having to be super careful navigating the site. And it's a damn shame because the information here is beyond priceless. I would pay a nominal amount for an ad-free version of VJ without a second thought. I am using the latest Edge. I also have the latest AdBlock plug-in. Nevertheless, I continue to get hammered. Has anyone had any luck circumventing these intrusions?? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  13. Ok. Replace "stupid" with "inefficient". I work in IT - paper is the enemy. As far as legality, electronic signatures are becoming more commonplace. In the end my friend, we are all in the same queue. Good luck and a happy ending for us all.
  14. Aloha, Dina and just sent in our I129-F packet. It was an inordinate amount of paper. EVERYTHING we printed was already in digital format residing on Google Drive. Today I read that once a packet is received, it is torn down and scanned. Huh?????? Why did we bust our asses printing everything and making pretty when we could have converted everything to PDFs and submitted everything electronically? So much time wasted. The stupidity of it all astounded me. It also made me a little sad as the packet was a labor of love for Dina and myself. It was our first chance to see how well we worked together. Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  15. Aloha, Has the question ever been raised why the packet can't be submitted as a zip file of PDFs? Am I thinking too modern for the Feds? Bill and Dina
  16. Aloha, Simple question is this what I need? Mahalo, Bill
