  1. Hi,

We filed our documents (I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765) back in April 2007. I got my work permit in September 2007, we had a successful interview in November 2007, then got a approval notice for I-130 at the end of November.

After I waited for 90 days from the date of the interview (in February), there was still no trace of any progress with I-485 / green card. So I scheduled an infopass appt and talked to an officer. They said the answer was coming soon. A few days later I received a letter saying that my I-485 was denied because the income was not sufficient but we have the right to file a motion to reopen within 30 days if we disagree or find a sponsor.

So I found a joint sponsor who is a friend, not a relative. In a couple of weeks I scheduled an infopass appt to file a motion to reopen / reconsider. I will bring additional evidence and I-864 signed by our joint sponsor. Now I have a few questions:

1 - Does our joint sponsor or my husband (who's the petitioner on I-130) need to be present for this appointment / interview (I'm not sure if it's more of an interview or just an appointment)? O

2 - As far as I understand, I need to prepare two I-864s. One of them will be signed by my husband and contain our household income information.

And another from comes from our joint sponsor. Do I need to include my income (which is significant and pretty much enough for sponsorship of my family and myself) on the joint sponsor's I-864?

    Thanks for your help!!
