    Thank you for your input pushbrk. Perhaps you misread, but my question was to ask if he is to include his mom as a member of his household? She is currently staying at his address, albeit temporarily.

    Hi, I wanted to piggyback off this topic since my case is somewhat similar. My husband is the petitioner and we have a child that was born in the US. I live in Canada with our child, does my husband count our kid as a dependent? Also his mom recently relocated to his city and he’s supporting her while she finds her own place and a job. Does he also include her as a dependent since she is currently a part of his household for the time being?

    We got married in Ontario last November and it took us exactly 10 weeks for our certificate to be mailed out, plus an additional 5 days to receive it. They forewarned us at the courthouse that this is standard.
