  1. my bro in law has travelled to two countries and has proved he has returned every single time back to India. so I am not sure they would reject his US visa on grounds of insufficient evidence or compelling reasons to return to India. that was the relevance.
  2. this stupid forum does not allow me to edit the original post or reply to others. not sure what I am doing wrong. but in response to questions on why he desperately needs one immediately- its cause this is probably the best time for him to visit us since our other bro in law has managed to get his company to agree to him staying here for a month. so if this guy and his wife joins us it will be like a family vacation - something we havent done since forever.
  3. edited the interview- left out two things that transpired. marked them in bold. one of them is important - my bro in law has demonstrated that he has returned to his country of origin from various visits outside.
  4. hello lovely people. my brother in law (who runs a business in India) and his wife (who is a NEET aspirant) got rejection today for visitor visa (at Chennai consulate). visa interview sequence - interviewer- purpose of visit? bro in law - "vacationing in the U.S. will be joining my bro in law (another bro in law not me- but he failed to explain hes talking about a different bro in law and not me) who is also going to U.S. during the same time" this could be a minor red flag because he went into too much detail about his another bro in law who is comign to the U.S. during the same time. this might have confused the interviewer. I am of the opinion that he must have just said vacation and stopped there. interview- what's the duration ? bro in law - about a month. interviewer - what do you do (occupation)? bro in law - construction business. (RED FLAG?) interview - what does your wife do? bro in law - shes a neet aspirant. (BIG RED FLAG? NOT CURRENTLY WORKING SO MAYBE?) interviewer- what does your sister do in the U.S? Bro in law - she works for XYZ as an Engineer. interviewer- can i see her visa? bro in law hands him a copy. interviewer turns towards his computer an starts typing stuff. Interviewer- and your bro in law? bro in law - he works for ABC as an Engineer. at this moment he prints out rejection letter and hands it. "section 214b of US immigration and Nationality act.- lack of adequate evidence/ compelling reasons to return to India". He is planning to reapply immediately and try to get a visa. questions - is it advisable to reapply immediately? opinions on what went wrong during the interview? Thanks a ton in advance folks!!
