  1. Thank you for the response. Yes, I have filed a I-130 for each parent.
  2. Hi, I am sponsoring green card for my parents. In this regard, do I need to file a separate I-864 form for each parent? Thanks
  3. I am filling I-130 for my parents. On my (petitioner) birth certificate, my father's name is misspelt. I am providing a self affidavit stating that my father's correct name and name in birth certificate are one and the same person. In addition, I am thinking of providing an affidavit from my father. However, my father is currently visiting US. 1. Can my father provide an affidavit that is notarized in US and file it with I-130? Is this fine OR he has to provide affidavit that is notarized in India? 2. Instead of an affidavit from my father, can I get an affidavit from my aunt (father's sister) stating that my father's correct name and name in birth certificate are one and the same person?
  4. Thank you, I will get two affidavits from relatives who attended the wedding.
  5. Thanks Mike. Yes it complies and registered in accordance with Hindu marriage act. Regarding additional evidence, can I get two affidavits from family elders who attended my parents marriage and upload these affidavits in addition to marriage certificate when I file I-130?
  6. I am filing form I-130 (consular processing) for my father. As one of the evidence I need to submit my parents marriage certificate. My parents are from India and after they got married, the marriage was not registered as it was not mandatory to register. They got their marriage registered in 2018. So the registration date is many years after my 18th birthday. Can I upload this marriage certificate as evidence and file my father's I-130? Is any additional evidence needed to be provided? If yes, could you please let me know what additional evidence can be provided?
