  1. Any clue why they asked me to bring in a resume for a b1b2?
  2. Ya I know, I am going to wait for the job before I schedule the followup appointment that they requested. I just didn't expect them to give me an interview waiver (my b1b2 visa had expired recently, so I guess it became a visa renewal) initially when I submitted my application. I did not know they did interview waivers. I just applied so I would at-least book an interview appointment which from I heard were months or years in advance.
  3. Yes, that is what I am concerned about. Will they say that they expected me to tell them about my job when I submitted the requested documents to them? I honestly was in shock of how quickly things moved in terms of the processing of this visa. I still had 4-5 days left on my previous job when they requested the documents. So, I just mailed the documents they requested plus my tax and bank account information. Honestly, also when they asked me to submit the documents, I was worried that if I don't submit the documents in a certain time (next 30 days or something) they might refuse the visa. And I did not want to submit documents while I was unemployed, so I just submitted what I had right away. Maybe I am over thinking it, I am wasting time thinking about all this nonsense instead of looking for a job. I am just worried because I don't wanna spoil my immigration history.
  4. So, I had been holding off applying for a tourist visa b1b2 because of the long waits for interview appointments. I finally filled out the ds160 but unfortunately got laid off at the same time. My work gave me a couple weeks notice. I checked in the ds160 and saw that I could not put in a future end date for work history. I thought I might as well apply with current information for my job and since the interview appointment is going to be a few months or even a year later, by then during the interview I could show them my work information from where ever I am working then. Little did I know, that they were giving interview waivers for certain applicants, I only found out after I paid for the whole thing. Next day I received a request to send my documents. I sent in my documents with my tax information from previous year, since I was still working with the same company at the time. I was then asked to come in for an appointment either way. I am just going to book it when I get my next job. Will they question me about my previous job during the interview? I just put in the accurate information I had when I was filling the ds160, I was not unemployed at that time nor would it let me put in a future end date.
