  1. From whom? From the US Embassy in Canada. Example photo below.
  2. Good day! Back in 2018, a friend of mine was granted a B1/B2 visa here in Canada. There is an annotation on his passport " Canadian Permanent Resident" . Fast forward to today, he already renounced his Canadian PR status. What happens now to his B1/B2 visa? Is it still valid for travel to the US? Anyone? Thank you.
  3. Thank you! She's ecstatic! I'm just glad that she is still strong and able to travel.
  4. My aunt FINALLY got an approval yesterday in the Philippines after MANY REFUSALS. A little background: From what I remembered, she applied many times. She tried to apply in her 40s, 50s, 60s.... She is single. Never married. Have worked in an IT office as an Admin assistant. Worked in Malaysia. Travelled to Singapore. But no bearing since no visa required in these countries. And because of these factors, single, no family ties in the Philippines and still in her "working" age when she applied for a US Visa, all those applications were refused. In 2014, I processed her Visit visa here in Canada. She was 62 at that time. No interview. After a week, APPROVED. I guess Canadians are friendlier, eh? LOL! Travelled here in Canada twice. 2015 and 2018. Last year, I told her to try again to apply for a US visa, since she is not in her working age anymore... Why I am pointing this out, because sad to say that a lot of people including Filipinos abused the immigration of the US. So, most GENUINE VISITORS would have refusals because of this. Anyway, yesterday, August 31st, after waiting for 1 and half years after submitting the application for the US visa, she went for her interview. I told her that whatever the question is, she would start by, " I am going to Canada first then go to the US as a side trip." " I will travel with my niece and her family from Canada to the US." The consul who interviewed her just asked if who is she visiting in California so she said " I will visit my sister, but I'll go to Canada first and travel with my niece and her family to the US" Another question was, if she has kids. I don't know why the consul asked that. But my aunt proudly said she is SINGLE. And finally, VISA APPROVED. She'll be travelling to Canada- US next year to celebrate her 72nd birthday. Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, here she comes!
