So in another thread, this is what someone posted when I suggested that Montreal is taking long to schedule CR1 appointments because they are clearing family preference and employment categories.
“Official policy of the US State Department is that CR1/IR1 visas are to be prioritized (tier 1), and directs embassies to not do what you describe. If the Montreal Embassy is doing that, they are violating official US government policy.
I would advise the original poster to reach out to their congressman (US senator or house rep), and have them inquire about the case. A bunch of us did that at the Seoul Embassy, when they suddenly decided to stop scheduling CR1/IR1 interviews. After they were contacted by several congressmen, they started rapidly scheduling CR1/IR1 interviews again. But getting your congressmen involved may be the best hope to force the embassy officials and/or NVC to behave in accountable manner.”
If anyone reaches out to their senator, here’s screenshots that you can use as proof that they’ve been processing family preferences and employment category faster than immediate relatives.
Thanks so much for letting us know ...

Does anyone know what is happening with consulates why they are not sending out interview letters? The Consulate in Canada has completely stopped giving interview letters after March 12 Dq people.
Is this same case for other countries as well?
Anybody know???????

Snooping through other posters doing consular processing, the embassy was giving out interview letters for those who were DQ September 2023. It seems like they're backed up and it's taking around a year. We're currently in the same boat where my spouse's interview is being routed to a busy embassy so we don't have high hopes for getting an interview by this year.
Those are the people who got skipped in Sept-Nov DQ list and didnt got their interview letters with others.

I understand you dear .. i am going through the same situation...
Every day i am in stress , dont feel like doing anything , whenever i see my other couple friends enjoying i am full in tears 😭 i miss my spouse .. and its getting extremely hard .. to wait this long .. 4 months to mark we got Dqed and no sign of interview ..

I already had to get two …. It’s a punch every time we need to get these due to their inefficiency and backlog ….
You just only need to get a new one for your current country of residence. The PCC from previous country you lived in is valid for infinite time unless you go back to that country again before your interview.

I was finally able to get all of my husband's documents submitted to NVC. I am glad that part is over. The NVC website is very glitchy though. I would have to try multiple times to upload stuff and sometimes it would kick me off. But I am glad I got that done because I leave for the US on Thursday and I did not want to leave with that not accomplished.
If we leave to US shouldn't we need to update DS260 again ? Also after submitting local PCC once we leave the country wont that be invalid and we then have to get new PCC?

Filed I-130 May 7, 2023. Approval from Uscis June 3, 2024 (original 8 month estimate took 13 months). Finished with NVC questions/documentarily qualifed June 15,2024. Been waiting a month just to get an appointment date from Manila......
When USCIS said it would 8 months I thought that was what it would take. Now 14 months later with no interview in sight and then another month to get the visa after the interview it's looking like at least 16 months. Very disheartened.
Also thought the $535 fee was it. NVC had 2 fees, one for $120 and another for $300+, then medical fee, interview fee and visa fee. Now it looks like just short of $2,000 just in fees.
It makes me mad when they let people in illegally, they don't have to wait, charge them nothing and then give them money. Plus they pull resources and make legal immigrants wait longer. WTH?So true ..
Even some do adjustment of status from visitor's visa to immigrant visa without even facing any consequences. When clearly USCIS says people should not overstay visitor's status.
And people like us who go through all these struggles and pain , waiting , who do everything right and according to the rule doesnt have any perks others than suffering and be away from their dear ones.

Hi, I just finished my appointment with Dr. Zatzman this morning. He was wonderful and everything went pretty quick except for the bloodwork which was a bit of a wait (i highly recommend checking into dynacare labs once you're done your medical, it'll speed up your waiting process at the lab).
I did not have an MMR vaccine record but pretty sure i had one when i was a kid (i had all other vaccines and records for them). My GP did a titres test back in 2015 (i had just started seeing him as my primary GP and didn't have much vaccination records so he wanted to check then). i provided that 2015 titres test to Dr. Zatzman and he took that as proof as having vaccine. Also he said that even if i didn't have the Titres test, he would be able to check in my bloodwork if i had the MMR vaccine.
So he do accepts the titres test?

If you have a record, they will accept it. Call and confirm. Never listen to heresy. We've had many, many MANY people come through here and I've never heard of anyone having any issues when they've presented vaccine records or titres tests. If you search the doctors names in the top right corner, you'll have many, many reviews pop up. Most are positive and the delays with medicals are sometimes that of the doctor's office, but sometimes that of the Consulate and their receiving times for documents.
Thanks dear... appreciate your response.. i will once again confirm with the doctors office.

My mum doesnt have all my vaccine records… I had them all but what do you do of they won’t accept the proof of immunity ?
Probably get the vaccines no other choice..

Only have one choice in BC
how else can they assess if I don’t have all my records
You can call them ask will they accept the proof of immunity or not .. here in ontario there are two common panel physician from which one doesnt accept the proof of immunity and the other one sends the medical exam records late.
If there is anyone in Ontario please let me know which panel physician would be good for the medical exam .
-
Also I saw Dr Zatsman ( one of the panel physician) from Vaugan dont accepts the proof of immunity , i even called them now they said they need vaccine records and even on their website it's not mentioned that they will accept proof of immunity . On the other hand Dr Randall Lee ( again the panel physician) from Scarborough accepts the proof of immunity but the reviews are bad about him also the delay to get the medical exam records is high in his case as per review.
Does anyone know which panel physician should be the best for medical exam ?

If you had them as a kid and have retained immunity, it will show up on your titres test. I had HepA/HepB before traveling internationally when I was in Canada so I wasn't missing anything coming from Canada. You have plenty of time to work on titres and getting anything you're missing. I wouldn't wait though. You'll be DQ'd in no time and then the panic will set in lol.
How long is titres test result valid for ?

That is alot of vaccines …..have not had any of these ( but had chicken pox) and I got shingles vaccine
recently
no one I know has had all these extra vaccines
its crazy if you think about it
coning from Canada we can visit without any of these 🤷🏼♀️
Yup .. thats what US requuires .. tdap , MMR , Varicella(chickenpox) , flushot(if interview is scheduled in between oct-feb) hepatitis B and covid booster... these vaccines are necessary for all the ages between 18-64.
What a headache..😪
