  1. Hi our visa has been approved and we are planning our wedding, can we visit a us territory such as Puerto Rico? any other recommendations.
  2. Yea I put that as a proof of citizenship, only other thing is my social and my passport photo but not a copy of my passport, basically the letter said they are returning it and I need to keep it unless they request other wise.
  3. did not know this lol, well technically its a copy because i didnt have the original so i requested a new one. so am i good for now?
  4. Im the petitioner and they just sent back my original birth certificate, is this normal?
  5. Hello, im trying to finish my k1 app and the only thing i have missing is my last employer, problem is it was over 3 years ago and the company doesn't exist anymore, it was a small company that went under. do i need to have a second employer reference or is one enough?
  6. ok so basically put her current legal name under beneficiary and maiden under other names used. then once this is approved then for the ds160 as @Redro says we change it with the proper documents attached? yea we know the wait times still are taking awhile thats why we want to file now.
  7. so in germany the Divorce decree says her previous marriages last name not her maiden. for her to change it back to the maiden she has to do some paper work which she is getting together now, what i want to know is on the I-129F should i not put her maiden name as her primary name or do i put what is currently her name? (see screenshot).
  8. So we would submit with the i129 her birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorcee decree and new name change?
  9. What’s the difference? I’ve been doing the I-129 but I thought the ds is for workers?
  10. Hello, I am a US citizen and my fiancé is german and are filling out the forms for the k1 visa, she awas previously married and is currently changing her last name back to the maiden name, i know we must wait till that's complete to submit everything. my question is do we also need to submit the previous documents showing she changed her maiden name before in the previous marriage? we have the divorce certificate already.
