  8. Im an April filer …. Still waiting …. I so resonate with your post - it’s incredibly frustrating waiting for someone in an office to assess the validity of your marriage … and it’s so hard to not be with mu husband … sigh
  9. We are checking every night …. Trust me !! It was my birthday last week and we both really through that would be the best bday present !!!
  10. Well a lot of us April filers are still waiting…
  11. It’s almost completely useless isn’t it ? We never even checked it for 6 months … then the curiosity got the better of me!! I am over a year waiting as of yesterday
  12. I am days away from 1 year too- im so tired of waiting and then that approval doesn’t give me anything but knowing im approved ….. starting to loose faith in this whole process
  13. Can you expand on the tax implications?

  16. Hi all… I hope we are getting closer my VJ timeline has always said a date range of a week Or so…. Now it says April 11- may 14!!! it has been as early as Feb 24 and as late as May 14…. sigh online uscis says three months … not that it is accurate ( but still …. We filed April 24- received April 27 and No1 May 2)
  17. We can’t live together due to several factors so this process ( consular filing ) is our only option…. So we wait …..I often wonder about the staff who review these cases - day in and day out - do they know that file and decision are all we are thinking about? Or is it simply another case number ? Lol
  18. We got a letter asking my hubby to set up his online account …. The current 1-30 approval timeline says 6 months online ….. here I think everyone was saying 4 ish ( late March early April )…. 7-9 more months is my hope for my GC…
  19. I am not hopeful for April …. BUT hoping for summer next year !- i will have to go to Montreal for my visa interview and it would be nice to be there in summer!!
  20. I am waiting in 1-30 approval ( then consular processing via Montreal) im shocked to see approvals already !! Our lawyer told us @ 20 months - my time line on here has been as low as March and as long as May. Online says 7 months… I am Canadian / hubby is USA citizen. im lucky as I live close to the border so I can visit still… but after getting married in April I feel like I am missing out on being a newlywed, and now being apart is SO much harder. In wonder why some are so much faster than others !!!
