  1. Ok. If anyone is interested . The clerk accepted everything , including a copy of his green card without the original . So not sure if that means we have cleared that hurdle . Will update once I know
  2. Thank you Mike. I'm applying for both. Problem is - all doc were together as my wife was applying for SSI and waiver services. The folder she used is no where to be found . I'll give the stamp option a go.
  3. I need some advice or clarity please My wife passed away and had been dealing with all of our sons paperwork and I can not for the life of me find it. I have notified that the card is lost and need to apply for a new passport. The problem is - without the old passport and the green card, I don't have a new/valid photo ID for him. He is 17 and was homeschooled/disabled so I don't have school records I have: His old birth country passport (expired) A copy of the front and back of the GC His SS card A copy of his original US passport (he had a name change ) . That passport is no longer valid as the passport center cut off the corner I think - and I'm not sure, that if he is under 18 and I go with him, I can present my own ID as proof of identification. I will take with all of the above in the hope it gets accepted I will also sign the identification affidavit - DS-17 For proof of citizenship there is a document search option for $150, so I think that will be ok Anyone have any other suggestions or have been through this before?
