  1. Hi i can’t say this is always the way but I was there in aug for mine and there was 3 people in the line! Seems to have definitely got a lot better than a few months back. I was actually amazed how quick it was. Whole thing took c2 hrs…and that included 1h30 sitting waiting inside to speak to the officer. I debated picking up passport after but in end paid for delivery. And worked super quick (4 days) and easily. Tbh I’d just pay for delivery if I were you. Can still change to that until day before.
  2. Hi - i can see how the confusion may occur so let me try and help make it a lot clearer for you: The 'U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse' is one person - i.e your husband. People can be married to either a USC or LPR, and therefore the line has to be written to cover both. When you are the immigrant then you are married to either a US citizen or a LPR - whichever status your husband has. Irrelevant of which they are, they are then known as the spouse. You are married to the spouse - (using their terminology/description). Therefore this is saying if you are the spouse (i.e. in your case, your husband, whichever of USC or LPR they are) they do NOT need to pay the biometrics now. However as you are not the spouse, you DO need to pay that biometrics fee. Does this help?
  3. There’s def a cut off and obv depends on volume and numbers etc, but we got DQ on about 18th of month from memory and got letter at the end of that month so I’d suspect anyone pre 15/16 prob ok. After that it might be luck of the draw if they’re busy or not
  4. Hi the letters tend to come out in a batch at the end of the month (usually 2-3 days before end) so I’d expect Friday this Wk or Monday next week. good luck!
  5. I took about 40 pages including copies of everything uploaded of my wife’s (passport, taxes etc) plus originals of all my docs (birth certificate, police, passport, etc). Plus copies of new pics of us and travel docs. I also took print out of the invitation to interview and approval. Plus passport pics. In the end I was asked for my originals of all above, and the confirmation emails for entry to building, but they didn’t even want to see anything from my wife. However as has been said, I’d rather have my file with it all than not.
  6. You cannot sponsor yourself, so that’s not an option. Your income is not counted, whatever the level. You will def need a sponsor. Foreign income (ie earned in U.K.) isn’t counted either so your wife cannot use that. Speak to your family member asap! You will def need them
  7. 28th July. 3 days before end of month in line with what everyone else has said about letters. So I’d expect the aug ones (oct interviews) to go out on 29th aug I think
  8. I did mine last week there. It's just a series of yes or no questions. Questions like have you ever had an operation, every had any problems with your liver, your kidneys, your bladder, if you've ever had any heart attacks etc. About 25 Qs like that that i suspect almost everyone will answer no to the vast majority (i was no to all). Literally took 1 min to tick all the boxes
  9. Hi - we got DQ on 14th July and got a Sept interview (13th). Hope that helps
  10. Hi @Emmah1979 - as expected, the details have come across and is working correctly for me this morning so i expect similar for you. Very simple process to register for passport return (or collection, apparently)
  11. I have the exact same thing. Got IL Friday and interview day 13/9. Don’t worry! What I read elsewhere said it can take a day or two to get the systems aligned so they know you’ve had the appointment set. I’m gonna try again on Tuesday. We’ve plenty of time to resolve yet!
