  1. thnx, btw do you think it is wise to include a letter from parents that basically says " Son and CR1 spouse will live at no cost in a separate apartment unit we own on our property. " since this is what we will do. And thought it may help finance or domicile requirements...?
  2. Thank you, so does that mean I would do one i864 by me, then my dad would do one i864 for him and his spouse my mom would do a i864A? total: two i864, one i864A ?
  3. So my numbers qualify for CR1 with bank savings and Roth IRA funds combined but want to be safe so am planning to have folks do a I864 (not i864a) with their income IRS return and property assets value appraised, which also meet requirements of poverty levels. We will be moving into the apartment on their property (their address and our address would be same except a Unit number) but it is not in their same house so that way we do not have to include them in our 'household members' count, which makes our required financial number lower. We could live in the same house with them too but I'm seeing the above scenario as the best for a stronger case, is this best way or am I missing any options? (besides things like moving their for six months first etc) Appreciate thoughts, experience, options;)
  4. Since servers see ISP'S and know where you are (unless using VPN's) is there any pros or cons to opening your USCIS online account in states or PH and possibly having it 'marked' or 'categorized' as a US vs Int'l account? I recall someone saying if your living in PH then Manila embassy doesn't care much about domicile so that would be a better thing and I wouldn't want them to see something on their computer saying this is a US account so the i130 should go somewhere else and not the NVC, etc... Thoughts, experiences appreciated;)
  5. so what is considered "a "marriage certificate" in the eyes of USCIS, NVC or the US Embassy?" when you get married in PH?
  6. thnx, do you mean getting a notary here in PH to notarize a letter that I write saying I've temporarily lived in PH for last 4 years but still have my bank, credit, car insurance in US and will move back there with spouse on CR1 approval?
  7. yes we made the plans together so thnx for reminder and ds260 noted. But what about on the i130 and i864, which address to use as my, the petitioners US address- CA where I can show bank, car insurance, credit cards as support docs or the intended MD address that I have no mail or docs attached to?
  8. great, thnx. Do you think it makes a difference that my bank acct, credit cards, car insurance that I submit as evidence are at my CA address and the place we intend to live on petition will be MD address?
  9. thnx very much for clearing that up;) any thoughts on my domicile part of the post above?
  10. oh great chart, thnx. so for CR1 then at what point does she get green card without doing i485?
  11. currently I have those type of things for CA, but we will live in MD when we both go back with her CR1 so I'm wondering if my CA docs will not work since we will not be living there...? (and I plan to put the MD address on i130 as where we/she will live in America)
  12. I saw here https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/checklist-of-required-initial-evidence-for-form-i-485-for-informational-purposes-only that the i864 may be required with the i485 which is further down the line but does the NVC ask for the i864 before that?
  13. Hi all, we live in PH now. I am going to states now to the home we will live permanent when she has her CR1 visa (it's my parents home I grew up in and we will live with them, I don't currently have any bills or mail going there as my US mail (car insurance, bank, credit card) still goes to other state I lived before my 3 year tourist stay in PH). What are good things I should do there (parents home) now on this 2 weeks when I'm there to help domicile case? And should that supporting evidence be included in my i130 or i864 or both? Thanks!
  14. Thanks, checked their site and says you can get - "Someone else’s immigration records, if you have their written permission" which I don't have. So if I filed an i130 as petitioner but I am US citizen do you think it falls into the "Your own immigration records" category and would be on their site? I'm thinking I don't have any immigration records since I was born in US. ??
  15. Sounds ridiculous I know but...30 plus years ago when got married in states to a French citizen that was already living and working legally on a work visa in US, I don't know if we or she filed filed an i130 and/or i485 in order to stay in states. We divorced a few years later after a horrendous car accident that then she wanted to go back to Europe. I do have our divorce decree paper but only that. So now 30 years later and no paperwork in hand I don't really remember what if anything we / she filed. (She doesn't have anything either or remember form numbers if any were done back then, something must have been filed I guess ? but what I don't know. So when answering honestly on the current i130 that I will fill in I don't know what to put for "Have you EVER previously filed a petition for this beneficiary or any other alien?" I don't know isn't one of the options lol, just yes or no. And does that question mean just a previous i130 or means i130 and/or i485 ? And it asks for a date and result and I wouldn't know those either IF the answer was yes. Thanks all, can't believe it myself.
  16. Does anyone have a list of what you submitted as i130 support docs and the ORDER you put them in if you made a single file from them all or if you did a paper filing? I made another post that has 100+ views but no replies so trying to ask it a different way here I guess. Any input on my question about the best order for the docs in the one pdf I'm making to hold all of them is much appreciated! Doing the online i130 and trying to figure out where to put a cover letter, should it be at the beginning of the Proof of relationship Documents? I don't see any sections in the online steps for a cover letter. These are the i130 upload sections online in this order: Petitioner’s U.S. birth certificate; Marriage certificate of petitioner and beneficiary; Divorce decrees of petitioner; JPG 2x2 photo of the petitioner and 2x2 JPG photo of the beneficiary; Evidence of bona fide marriage; Form i130A upload. Besides the nice hello greeting to the USCIS officer I would then place this list in the cover letter. I'm wondering if the letters we each wrote (about how we met, unique details of our relationship, our future plans etc.) that are currently in section K should go at the head or tail of the Evidence of Bona Fide Marriage, what do you think? The following documents accompany and support this petition: 1. Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative; 2. Form I-130A, Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary, for the beneficiary; 3. Petitioner’s U.S. birth certificate; 4. Marriage certificate of petitioner and beneficiary; 5. Divorce decrees of petitioner; 6. JPG 2x2 photo of the petitioner and 2x2 JPG photo of the beneficiary; 7. Evidence of bona fide marriage. Sections: a. Joint Financial Assets - Vanguard Funds Spouse Beneficiary Certification b. Joint Responsibility for Welfare - Passport Emergency Contact Spouse c. Affidavits (4) for Bona Fide Marriage - 3 USA Citizens 2 Philippines Citizens d. USA CFO Certification counseling completed by spouse issued by Philippines government e. Cohabitation Proof - Rental Certification, Evidence of shared delivery address for official documents, photos f. Wedding Planner Correspondence g. Official Joint Travel documents - Singapore government issued arrival cards, trip photos, Korean Travel Agency confirmation, photos h. Our relationship timeline with photos - 2018 to the present i. Family Cards/Gift Sample, dated j. College Graduate Certificate of Good Moral Character from Head Administrator k. Our own letters for Bona Fide marriage relationship
  17. Well that's the thing, I wouldn't consider any address anywhere to be permanent but that's just my mentality I think. So I'm trying to figure what is best for each different form that doesn't make any red flags for CR1 process...
  18. Hi all, appreciate your help on the CR1 process;) Question about addresses for the i130 form and future forms down the line: Thinking ahead about US domicile I don’t want to conflict or weaken that argument with what I enter on i130 or any other forms. And with moving around and taking long visits in different places it’s hard to know what USCIS thinks is living address, a vacation address, mailing address, temporary address etc. So probably like many others I have: Multiple addresses in multiple US states where I get mail- friends, family, place I rented before but they still take mail while I travel but don’t lease anymore but they are nice to do it, etc. The address where we plan to live when we both go to states is with parents- either taking second floor of their home or an apartment unit they have on the property but is same address with a unit number. I’m trying to think ahead about household members and that effecting income requirements as well- obviously want the lowest number. So which option to choose for living when we return to states, in the house, in the apartment? (advice please) Physical Address: I have traveled much in last 5 years to multiple places so in the section of i130 where it asks: Provide your physical addresses for the last five years, whether inside or outside the United States. Provide your current address first if it is different from your mailing address in Item Numbers 10.a. - 10.i. Not sure what to put….advice please? Mailing Address: And my mailing address is in multiple states and can be in PH also so for this i130 section. It can be where bank statement goes in one state now, it can be my parents address in other state where we will live and I get mail now also. (with or without apartment # depending on if we live on second floor of home or the attached apartment) What should I put as mailing address on i130 that helps the domicile proof later (or at least doesn’t effect it in a negative way) ? Beneficiary address: And then for the same question applies for this section on i130, is it better to make her and I physical address on i130 the same to help bona fide relationship (although we have lots of strong proof of that already) or better to leave blank and have all of my addresses on i130 be in the states for domicile evidence? If the beneficiary lives outside the United States in a home without a street number or name, leave Item Numbers 11.a. and 11.b. blank. Thanks all for the thoughts!
  19. Boy isn't that the truth! Terribly unorganized in PH and so much waste of time when you cannot depend on anyone's word or published information, so thanks for that! Do we each need a CEMAR for anything in the process or only the PSA Marriage Certificate?
  20. Is the PSA marriage certificate the same document I see people in VJ call the CEMAR?
  21. Hi all, Did the i130 form and all supporting docs ourself in one well organized pdf, wanted to get someone to look over for any red flags, mistakes before submitting it online. A visa coach offers that for $400, worth it? Any other cheaper options? Thanks for thoughts! btw how long after filing i130 online will they ask for the i864?
  22. searched first but found no current answer, thnx. If we file online i130 a day after Mayors marriage in PH and just upload the LCR document that we got married and copy of request to expedite the PSA marriage cert, and then upload the PSA Marriage cert when we get it (LCR said should be a month since we will go to PSA office ourself) - will this cause any delay or trigger RFE? (don't know if anyone will even look at our i130 before we send the PSA cert) Wanting to get clock running asap on i130 and in case the PSA cert takes several months... Thanks all! new here so apologies for any etiquette mistakes;)
