  1. Yeah, I think the key to get the emergency appointment request approved is that my kid is U.S. citizen (born there) as the embassy stated "Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the need for the Consular section to prioritize services for U.S. citizens..." Just got an appointment slot for Monday
  2. We are back to Stockholm/Sweden for H1-B visa stamping during the summer. The application was qualified for interview-waiver but after the review, the consular officer emailed us for in-person interview, can only schedule for November (4 Months from now) which will impact the our kid's school schedule during the fall semester back in the U.S. We filed expedite appointment request and got approved. Since there were no emergency time slot we filed a service desk case to get a time slot which has been "escalated to post". No response for almost one week and I do see an emergency appointment has been scheduled then cancelled by the embassy for us during the week. Still no response from them and the case status changed from "escalated to post" to "escalated" today, not sure what it means and still no email. Anyone else is familiar with emergency appointment how it works?
