  1. Yes, for some it may make sense to switch categories. You may be able to file sooner if you do switch to F1, but if you will get approved sooner is the unanswerable question.
  2. Finally, some more movement and that's awesome you are now current! Definitely keep us update and hopefully you have your interview soon. I wonder why they haven't moved the filing action date yet. There's only ~ 5 1/2 months between filing date and final action date now.
  3. November 2024 and December 2024 visa statistics are now out.
  4. We should be getting the Annual Report for 2024 at some point as well.
  5. I know. I am just trying to make myself feel better about it all.
  6. Last year we didn't have significant movement until May Visa Bulletin. I wonder if that trend will continue...
  7. Another good indicator of bulletin moving more regularly would be if they move the filing date because that hasn't moved either in a long time. My medicals are going to expire in August and it would be really annoying to have to pay again for an updated medical.
  8. Jan 2025 bulletin is out. Slight final action date movement. May 1st 2016 ---> May 22nd 2016
  9. December Bulletin out and no movement. The most annoying fact is according to Charlie there will be an estimated 10,000-15,000 unused family visa numbers for fiscal year 2024.
  10. No movement for Oct 2024 visa bulletin. Maybe next month...
  11. Sept Visa Bulletin is out, and it's bad news. No movement.
  12. August Bulletin is out. No movement for F2B. Statistics for May are also out. DR received 349 F2B visas.
  13. I would make it clear at the interview that she would like to remain as an F2B. I don't think a letter in addition is necessary, but at the same time it probably wouldn't hurt.
  14. I'm surprised they haven't moved the filing date yet for F2B.
  15. Charlie is still predicting forward movement for all family categories. We will see if he's right in the next few bulletins.
  16. June 2024 Visa Bulletin is out. No movement this month. Not too surprising with how much it moved last month.
  17. And Charlie Oppenheim is predicting steady (perhaps even rapid) movement in all family categories between now and september. Let's all stay positive!
  18. Nice! That's now two months in a row that Dominican Republic received a lower, more reasonable amount of visas.
  19. I don't think it matters, but how is it possible you haven't had your interview scheduled yet? You've had a PD that's been current for awhile. Also, unrelated and for those interested, USCIS has released more info on last years visa numbers. Check it out at below link: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Immigrant-Statistics/WaitingList/WaitingListItem_2023_vF.pdf
  20. May Visa Bulletin is out! Final action date moved to April 1 2016! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-may-2024.html
  21. I have no idea how they calculated this number, but I found this on the National Immigration Forum. If these numbers are the correct ones than none of the above countries in previous post actually exceeded their limit:
  22. Seems like for the rest of FY 2024 based on this: The above final action date projections for the Family and Employment categories indicate what is likely to happen throughout Quarter Three and Quarter Four of FY24.
  23. April Visa Bulletin is out, no movement this time. Though there was this at the bottom: E. VISA AVAILABILITY IN THE COMING MONTHS FAMILY-sponsored categories (potential movement): Worldwide dates: F1: Up to three months F2A (excluding Mexico): Up to six months F2B: Up to ten weeks F3: Several months F4: Up to four weeks
  24. Do these numbers include the second preference that is exempt from country limitations?
  25. March Visa Bulletin is out and we got significant movement! Final Action date moved to Nov. 22nd 2015. That's almost two months forward from last visa bulletin.
