just a quick question, does my father have to provide proof of status such as a birth certificate or copy of passport?

thank you, I naturally assumed it was needed since it was asking for it when i add household member.

uploading documents to nvc. AOS my father and his wife will be the joint sponsor. It asks for proof of my fathers citizenship, and proof of relationship. I am assuming my father will submit a copy of his passport, and his wife will submit a signed statement about their marriage. does my wife need to bring these original documents with her to the interview, or is a copy good enough? Interview is at Tokyo Embassy DS-260 are there any optional documents that I need to upload that are not mentioned? children's birth certificates? my wife has 2 passports, but nvc only asks for the one where we are doing the interview. Do I need to upload the 2nd passport biographic page?
