June 2023 I-130 Filers
Cookie88 replied to garebear397's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
It seems their focus is on those who can vote in time for the upcoming elections. Consular processed I-130’s seem to have been pushed to low priority over all the other immigration forms. If slowing down is truly related to the elections then we can’t expect improvements before November, I guess. -

It has gradually over the last few weeks slowed down to this pace. I’d like to think they cannot possibly afford to get any slower, and I am hoping at some point soon they are going to pick up the pace again. We really have no control over this whole process, and these new increasing timelines are getting concerning. -
I contacted CDC for the requirements regarding US immigrant visa applicants and this is what they replied regarding COVID vaccine: Applicants must receive one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine if a dose is due at the time of the immigration medical examination. For the purposes of the immigration medical examination only, applicants who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine dose in the 12 months prior to the date of the exam are considered due for a dose. If the applicant has not had a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the past 12 months, but a law or regulation in the country where the exam is performed prevents the applicant from receiving a dose at the time of the exam, document the "Not routinely available" blanket waiver.

June 2023 I-130 Filers

They were approving 2nd June as of yesterday. The pattern I'm seeing is that they're taking 3 working days to clear ONE PD day. At this rate, we're headed for a really really really crazy delay all around. -
I130 for spouse
Cookie88 replied to Christinab99's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
I think they have to respond within a set timeframe. 30-60 days or something. But that's not the issue. It's insanely expensive from what I've read on people's experience. It seems something for the wealthy 😅 -
July 2023 Filers I 130
Cookie88 replied to Wolle's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Yes, same. I applied in September and it was 10 months then too! I am still hoping they can recover their turnaround times this month and next but so far July has been even slower than June was. -
July 2023 Filers I 130
Cookie88 replied to Wolle's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
@Wolle JayCeez was approved in 13 months and 1 week. They had an end of May PD and approved first week of July... Also, that tracker on USCIS login page for how long you have left to wait does not have an ounce of accuracy/insight. It won't be a 20 month wait, don't worry. But as a July 10th filer, if I were you I would not expect anything until mid-August give the current timelines. -

Saw someone get an approval today on Reddit, PD 1st June, Vermont service centre. Finally some hope trickling in for June filers! -
DQ APPROVED 17 january 2024
Cookie88 replied to Tahseen's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Islamabad is 18 months minimum from DQ date. Can go up to 22 months. So expect something next year in 2025 between July - December. -

They seem to be prioritising AOS applications right now. Those are getting approved super quick. And that focus is causing delays to us filing standalone I-130’s for consular processing. Not sure how long the slow processing is going to go on for. Last I checked the average approval time was up to 13 months and 10 days, increasing by the week. Sincerely hope they finally move onto June this week. And I hope they speed up and catch up to the backlog. I don’t think they’ve slowed down this much since COVID. -

Under your personalised VJ timeline, what is the date range they're showing for your estimate approval? (go under "processing times" > "view your VJ timeline" > scroll to the bottom and see "ProcessingEstimates/Stats" -

https://***removed due to spam***/i130 - bottom of the page. I hope and pray they STOP focusing on March 2024 and start clearing all us 2023 applicants. It's really unfair and disheartening. -

Yeah, unfortunately they have slown down since the fee hikes in April. And the time is gradually increasing on a monthly basis, I am noticing. Right now it seems the average approval time is taking 14 months and one week. When I applied in September, it was 10 months and 3 weeks. It’s sad and frustrating, to say the least! If you’ve applied on 10th July, expect the approval to be by 17th August, provided they don’t slow down even further between now and then. -

There's a few websites with data analytic tools that can help you see statistically what is being worked on. The one I use regularly is: https://www.casestatusext.com/forms/I-130/IOE-LB They are currently working through IOE09208's (end of May - beginning of June filers) since June 26th, it seems. -

What is your receipt block? (e.g. IOE09208) -
No, I'm far from the stage of booking any medical. I reached out to obtain my vaccination records to see if I could get missing ones done privately elsewhere for cheaper rather than at the medical. We are one adult and 2 children, so it's going to be a significant cost.
-
Ah, ok. I only asked them for my vaccination history. This is not a SCR. I will ask for that. Thank you!
-
Thanks! It has my name, D.O.B, address, NHS number, GP's name, my contact details, and then the list of immunisations sorted by date. There's no mention of surgery name or address though - just the GP's name and my NHS number.
-
Hi guys, I asked for my GP for all my vaccination history and they've sent an email with the details on there. Is that going to be sufficient for the medical or do they need to see some kind of signed version to validate it?

Wow, thank you Captain Ewok for these data insights! Super fascinating to see how it’s all calculated. Makes sense now why despite that September 7th date in the snapshot I gave above, my personalised approval estimate remained at the end of October. And, of course, estimates are estimates! It’s just nice keeping track of current data trends to get an ‘idea’ of how things are running currently. I do sincerely hope they somehow catch up and approval estimates get reduced back down to the 11 month mark. It was not until the fee hikes in April 2024 that we started seeing approval estimate windows increase. I believe a factor may have been the surge in applications in March 2024 - presumably everyone trying to apply before the fees went up. Anyhow, thank you again for taking the time out for a fun data analysis personalised to my case!
