I have waited 12 months for the I-824 in Texas office - still no luck. I called USCIS and they are saying it will take another 3.5 months before I can inquire about my case. So, no - even though the website may say I-824 gets approved in 12 months at Texas center, some may take the maximum 15.5 months. Has anyone faced that situation? What is the processing time after I-824 gets approved? My understanding of reading through the forum and other sites is the original I-130 will move to NVC who will send me the Welcome packet with instructions to submit DS-260 and other financial support related documents. Then the documents get qualified to be shifted to the home country of the spouse (Bangladesh in my case). The US embassy in Bangladesh will then schedule the interview and then visa. I was trying to find a realistic timeframe for that entire process after I-824 is approved for a Bangladeshi spouse. If anyone can help with that, it would be greatly appreciated.
