  1. @smilingstone Looks like our interview will be 2 days before yours; Jan 27th in Montgomery. We'll let you know how it goes. edit; meant to post this in the March thread, idk how I accidentally posted here
  2. The original interview was scheduled to be tomorrow, but it was cancelled. We just got the online notice about it being rescheduled, which is nice. We won't know the date of the rescheduled interview until we get the letter in the mail.
  3. I just rechecked and the interview was actually just rescheduled just now
  4. Almost same here. AOS interview was scheduled for tomorrow... but then they canceled it. Still no sign of work authorization. Its ridiculous.
  5. They are more concerned about being a current risk of self harm than past.
  6. If using the healthcare.gov marketplace, you won't be eligible in some states. I added my wife to my insurance, but she was kicked off after a few months since they said her status made her ineligible. She has to have either a work authorization or green card.
  7. Got the cancellation letter today and its just the generic "due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel your interview" message. So.... back to waiting I guess.. I really don't understand why they would schedule our interview and then cancel it a few days later.
  8. We got the letter in the mail yesterday saying her interview is on December 19th.. but I checked her case history online today and it updated saying on November 19th, her interview was canceled, and on November 20th, her case is "ready to be scheduled". Does anyone know what this could mean?
  9. Interview scheduled!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy!! Still no update on her work authorization (last update was ~28 days ago saying they transferred her case to another office), but so happy we got an update for the green card at least! For their cases, we can't check online, we have to wait until the notice arrives in the mail to see when the interview is scheduled for (please don't be December 4th or 5th).
  10. We were immediately able to find a slot ~3 weeks out once we were told we could schedule an interview.
  11. Nope. I was roughly equal to the income requirement, but I had ~$50k in assets.
  12. I don't think we tried. We just waited to get a letter so we knew that the embassy had the documents. We didn't get a letter, but I instead got an email with the list of things required. We had to compile all the required documents into a single PDF file and send it back through email before we were allowed to schedule. We didn't try to schedule before that, but we were able to sign up for the account. I don't remember if we had the ability to view or schedule an appointment before then.
  13. My wife never received a letter, but we did receive an email from the embassy with a list of things we needed to complete before scheduling an interview. Once we completed the list and emailed them back, they let us schedule an interview. You'll need to make sure you have everything completed before scheduling an interview.
  14. idk, sounds accurate to the way our cases are going.
  15. Her case wasn't given an online access code.
  16. Yea I think this is more good news than bad. Its nice knowing the case didn't fall into the trash or something. They sent a letter with an explanation, so we should get that around friday or monday to see what it says.
  17. We finally got an update to the work authorization, but, uhhh What does that mean? Why would it be transferred?
  18. Same thing was happening with my wife when she filled it out last year. Try using internet somewhere else like a cafe or try using a VPN.
  19. She was in the middle of the chat with support agent on the website and gave all her information and they said give them a moment to collect information and 5 minutes later of no reply, the chat reset back to the start and cleared the chat log. If just one thing could go right, it would be really nice.
  20. My wife did receive a response to the inquiry.. 2 weeks ago, but my she didn't actually notice the email until today. She said it didn't appear on her phone but did on her computer. anyways It doesn't matter much I guess because the response was "we can not provide the information you requested. It is not clear that you are the subject of the requested information or have the legal authority to act on behalf of the applicant or petitioner." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The email she told me to use was a different email than listed on her application, so idk if that was the reason for the response, but doesn't feel like it should be since the birthdate and a-number was correct. I don't think any of the info in the inquiry was incorrect. She's on the phone with the support line that was in the email right now.
  21. Thanks for the info. Hoping we get a scheduled interview soon.
  22. We're in Alabama too. You should be happy you got your work authorization, since my wife still hasn't got hers. But yea, the VJ average is like 6 to 8 months right now, so, since we all applied around the same time, around October is the earliest either of us should expect our cases to be scheduled. I think she meant 32 weeks?
