  1. Thanks for the info. Hoping we get a scheduled interview soon.
  2. We're in Alabama too. You should be happy you got your work authorization, since my wife still hasn't got hers. But yea, the VJ average is like 6 to 8 months right now, so, since we all applied around the same time, around October is the earliest either of us should expect our cases to be scheduled. I think she meant 32 weeks?
  3. Well, enough time has passed that we can submit an inquiry into why her employment authorization is taking over 5 months to be processed. I would really like to understand why her case is taking 3x longer than anyone else's case on the forums.
  4. Oh, well thats good to hear. Looks like we actually submitted our AOS and EAD a day or 2 before you did.. but you got a quicker NOA, biometrics, EAD, and interview date. Well thats disappointing for us. I guess since our biometrics were 1 month after yours, our interview will also be 1 month after yours, in October? Hopefully?
  5. My wife applied for SSN before getting married, but never received anything, even after 2 months. Its been over 4 months since applying for work authorization, and still nothing. Assume nothing will go smoothly.
  6. For my wife and step daughter, their RFE was accepted a few days before their biometrics were updated, so around May 15th. So even if they didn't start processing their case until may 15th, thats still 3 months.
  7. We had a RFE too, but that was soon after we submitted the application.
  8. Hey, any update? I am in the exact same situation with my wife. I was about to start a new thread but this is identical to us. Please update your timeline @narayan333 For my wife, its been 135 days. Its been 78 days since the "Check Case Status" page was updated with her biometrics. We tried to submit an inquiry, but it says we can't until September. Her green card status has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since May 28th. It just concerns me that we have had 0 update in over 2 months.
  9. Ours has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since May 28th for green card. For work authorization, its "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" since May 21st.
  10. Still waiting for her work authorization to be approved 😕 Its been almost 4 months now. We can't submit an inquiry either.
  11. Still no EAD. Tomorrow will be 3 months, so I guess I'll file an inquiry tomorrow. I wasn't prepared to go over 7 months without dual income.
  12. We never received anything. After we got married, we went to the SSN office and they told us they had no record and we can't apply again until she gets a work authorization.
  13. 😔 Well, green card application status has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since May 28th. Employment authorization status has been "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" since May 21st. Was hoping I could find more info somewhere. Thought we'd get something in the mail by now.
  14. nope, starts with MSC. I googled it and IOE stands for Online Filing System (e-filing). We filed by paper. Could we have filed online? I didn't see anything about that.
  15. Either I didn't get it or I accidentally threw it away since I can't find it. For the link, it says this Their number starts with MSC
  16. no. I vaguely remember something about an online access code, but I can't find any papers with any mention of that. When would I have received that?
  17. Can you post a screenshot? Maybe we're on the wrong page or something. Either way, we haven't heard anything yet with interview date or employment authorization.
  18. We got the update that says they are ready to schedule her interview, and they will send a notice, but its been 9 days since then and nothing in the mail. How long did you wait or did you get your interview date online? We just made an account on USCIS but it didn't tell us anything more.
  19. I used assets (cash in bank and stocks) as part of my our application and it went smoothly.
  20. Update: looks like things are moving forward Strangely, the employment authorization application hasn't updated since biometrics were taken, so there is a chance she'll get her green card before the employment authorization? Hope the work authorization application wasn't a waste of money. For reference, for the RFE, I submitted page 5 of that form that was missing number, certified copies of the marriage certificate, visa, and passport copies, along with a letter explaining the situation and our signatures.
  21. I included a copy of the i-129 approval letter, which includes the receipt number, so they do have it. I guess either way my best option is to just submit a bunch of stuff like the receipt number, copy of certificate and stuff like that, proving the marriage and our identities.
  22. We got a letter yesterday giving us our date and time of our biometric appointment, which is in 2 weeks. yes
  23. We used her maiden name on the marriage certificate and her new last name, my last name, on the i-485 form. We included her maiden name on the form under the "other names used" section. Thats all correct right? I followed closely what people on the forums and they guides said. I can't think of anything else that is wrong. I double checked all the dates on the forms and everything. We included a certified copy of the marriage certificate. We have extra copies we can send back. and if anyone asks, we waited to the last minute to get married since we waited to get her SSN first, but it never arrived, so we waited to the last minute to get married. Thought we needed to get the SSN number back first before getting married, but then I read that we didn't.
