  1. Congrats!!! Was the one month in AP because of the quota being exhausted(ie waiting for new FY)? Or were you from a country that usually does more background check?
  2. Even i am confused haha. In summary, i applied for eb1a and got approved after i think 9 business days. I have not filed for dq yet as I have pending paperwork in progress.
  3. Hahaha true true, the i140 took so much hard work to get approved, but you are nail on there, i do need to relax a bit. @Lan22 Thank you that's a relief. You guys are all amazing!
  4. Thanks to @pebb1ee @NiJOS7@appleblossom @DDON for the discussion on the job market. I have tried to apply in my field(research in public health). However, it seems that at present, I am a visa requiring candidate(as I just got my i140 approved for EB1a), and the process is more limited (plus any visa sponsorship fees would probably come from their grant money, which they don't want). I do have a verbal offer(via WhatsApp, he just mentioned, "Come work for me," to which I replied, "Unfortunately, I am still waiting for my green card to be processed"). Does that even count when asked during the consular processing? The PI of that team is not willing to put the offer on paper(I understand that).
  5. What did they ask you about during the interview?(ie non document-wise)
  6. Congrats! and all the best for your new journey. How long from DQ did it take for them to issue you the IL (London)?
  7. i had a similar situation although not for Cameroon, but i lived almost a decade elsewhere and never went back. You will have to hire a legal representative e.g. a lawyer or a paralegal who will make you signed notarized copies of power of attorney for that process(certified by the consulate of that country in your country) so that they can proceed to do the process on your behalf. A very basic procedure. This is correct
  8. are they working in london/singapore?
  9. Hi, did you travel to UK for the interview or are you a citizen/pr/working there? At times they ask those who travelled to mail in the passport. Whats the update on your situation?
  10. Hi can you share your experience too? I just got approved for EB1a too.
  11. I have a question, i was approved for EB2NIW. My home country does not process US immigrant visa. So what is the usual protocol here? Do i take a tourist visa and go to the country where they will send my interview as a tourist, have the medicals and the interview, and ship them my passport once i am back in my home country? or do they expect me to live in that new country till they finalize the details and hold my passport?
  12. Hello everyone, Has anyone recently had an EB appointment/ approval at Johannesburg? Can you please share your timelines from DQ to IL to Interview? Thanks

  14. I am currently in the process of sending my EB1a, have an NIW petition under review. But given that NIW is no longer current for ROW, I was hoping to have an estimate on the timeline from Johannesburg. Please provide an update when you get the letter. Thank you.
