Hi! My son is waiting for his interview appointment After the case was completed the NV sent an email saying that the next communication will be within 60 days stating if the appointment has been scheduled or if it has to wait 60 days more, in both case, 60 days intervals... You know, that email that says: "Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is... first-in, first-out .... The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview." They have been very religious sending that email every 60 days, Feb 10th, April 10, June 10th, but i have not received the email for August. i have been checking the inbox since Aug 10 expecting to see any notice form the NVC but have heard nothing until today. Why did they stop notifying? l

Thank you guys for the response, give me so light and feel i am not alone in this. Thank you for the wishes. Yes i have good relation with the managers, they already are in my references. That is true, I am already looking for jobs. I am LPR I am in US, my son is in Brz. i have been working for the company for 7 years. I have an update. I received an agreement (SEPARATION AGREEMENT AND GENERAL RELEASE), where if I sign it, the company will "compensate me" with the equivalent of 6 weeks salary, with the condition that I wont be able to claim or initiate any legal action agaist the company AND I can not work again with the company within one year in case i want to move or to work in another store of the same brand.

Hi, my son is waiting the interview appointment for his residence visa, he already received the notice that he should wait a notice within 60 days, all good. BUT he had to go out of his country and he is now in Brazil, he has 40 days there and has to finish some studies here and he is planing to request a extension of his stay. BUT when he went to the Policia Federal to request it, the offered him the option to request a temporary residence, he initially said no because he is afraid it could interfere with his US residency visa process, they said that it wont interfere, but he and I are a bit skeptical about it. Would initiate a temporary residence in Brazil affect in any way his almost finished process for USA Residence? What are his intentions? He need to stay there to finish those studies until December, of course, if he receives the notice that he has to go to his country for the interview and medical examinations, he will, but until that he needs to stay there then he comes to USA

Hello, I have a question and I don't know if this is the right place, I'm asking for your help. I am in the process of waiting for a residency visa appointment. A few months ago I bought some air tickets with my credit card, and two days later I paid for it. Months later the bank is charging me money, and when I find out, the bank tells me that they are the air tickets that I bought, they say that they were 2 months and 11 days in transit! something that is illegal in this country, apart from the fact that I understand that by regulation, the airline cannot board a passenger without having collected their money, but that is not the issue, meanwhile, the bank has not been able to explain to me Where has the money I paid you for those tickets months ago gone? I am currently in a legal process with the bank, and yesterday the bank threatened me saying that they WILL NOTIFY the embassies and consulates accredited to my country so that they are aware of my alleged bad credit behavior. While i solve this situation, can that affect me in my residence visa process?

You are COMPLETLY RIGHT right... just take into account that things such: -interviewing employees FOR YOUR OVERSEAS COMPANY (like me) is ALLOWED -attending a meeting IS ALLOWED - attending conference or other business event IS ALLOWED, and if it is business related it is 90% it is related TO YOUR WORK/JOB - presenting products at a trade show or expo like i have done before in Sun n Fun event IS ALLOWED - lecturing at an event like a did two years ago IS ALLOWED if those subtle and slightly 🤣 job related things are ALLOWED...🙄 how a simple job related call or email answer could be a deadly federal super illegal crime...

and also double thanks because everytime i enter to the US and the CBP ask me what do i do for living i proudly said, i work form my computer 🤣. My God, two travels ago they even asked me how long are my vacations and i annswered: "i own the business, but i am staying 15 days only" 🤦♀️ i would have to change that or not to mention that obviously happy lol
-
well, thank you a lot for thr information. the rule for stay safe while on vacations on US is to dont even think to touch anything job related, not even reply a single job related emauil, neither texting my colleagues lol oh God! This is crazy, how many emails i have asked to my colleagues and employees to reply me when they are visiting US.. and friends too....

10 months for me is ok to re enter There is something wrong here, because, then,. if i go with a family trip to Disney for ten days and my company needs me and i have to do some emails some purchases, write couple of letters and couple of zoom meetings... i mean, this is a very common scenario that i have seen LOT of times in hotels in family vacation trips, suddenly the wife or husband have to attend the work or the business while on vacation... then... their are violating the law and SHOULD BE REVOKED TOO.. Two years ago i stayed 5 months to help my mother with an issue and my b1/b2 visa expired 10 months ago, the consul asked me if i have stayed in the US longer than 20 days and i said yes, i stayed 5 months, and he asked me why i said because my mother needs me, and the consult asked me how how did i with my job in my country i told him i own a company and i manage it from my computer from anywhere, no more question asked. (i edited again because i remembered, 5 months before my visa expiration ate i stayed 3motnhs and 5 days) what happened here then?

Hello, i was not sure where to post these questions, if the family based forum or student exchange one. I came here because a friend told me very good about this forum, I know I have to complete the profile, but I hope you forgive me, I'm going to do it later, since I'll still be here for a long time. I am currently waiting for my priority date I am applying for the F24 visa and my priority is F2B. I don't know if that information is useful to you. i currently have a tourist visa (B1/B2). I work online and have my virtual company so i have lot of flexibility to work from anywhere. And here are my two questions: 1- Can i stay i the United States until I get notified for my interview? (since B1/B2 Visa can let you legally stay for only 6 months, (i would stay in 5 months intervals just to keep it healthy) would that affect my process? 2- I am interested in an internship for my career, it is a very good program for my area and all my friends who have applied have been accepted. I never applied because i was afraid it could interfere with my immigration process. But i am still interested. The program would request a J1 i think, if i apply, and they file for a j1 request for me, Would that affect my immigration process? would that affect my B1/B2 visa?, would the J1 be denied? Thank you a lot in advance guys!
