  1. Apologies for the late response. The journey from Lagos embassy was quite interesting, my interview was postponed three times. Anyway, we finally had the interview on 10th January 2024. It took more than a year from DQ to the final interview day. The interview itself was for just about 2 minutes (for me, took longer for some). The officer simply asked where I was going to land in the US and that was it. All 9 of us that interviewed for EB visas that day were successful. Landed in the US at the end of March, quite late at DFW and whole process was easy. Just have your intended address at hand. The SSN number came in 2 weeks after landing, I didn't have to apply for it again after selecting it in the DS260 form. The actual greencard came in exactly 6 weeks after landing. I opened checking account just with the SSN and entry stamp. Good luck to all the people still waiting in Nigeria, the process is slow but you will all smile at the end. Thanks to everyone who posts on online forums such as this, gave me confidence boost and references throughout the entire process. Filled the petition by myself using posts and guidelines from people online.
  2. Congrats @MalaYoon Seems everyone here got DQ in 2023, I got DQ in December 2022. PD was March 02, 2022. Category is EB2
  3. Just saw this on a Facebook group. Someone said NVC sent this on an enquiry on their EB2 consular processing case "Only petitions with a priority date earlier than the cut-off date on the Final Action Dates for Family-Sponsored Preference Cases chart are eligible for a visa and consular processing". Does this mean that the final action dates of the family preference cases determine eligibility for consular processing irrespective of the approved petition type? Apologies please, this is not a post hijack, some of us are just fishing for info.
  4. EB-2 NIW. From the NVC 60days notices and posts from this forum I don't think people in this category can individually schedule interview (I might be wrong) and I'm not qualified for expedited request. I do not think it is right to pause an entire category for another, some have lost fantastic job opportunities because of this delay. In time their inaction is going to create a backlog of EB2 at Lagos.
  5. Really frustrated with lack of information concerning what's going one with the EB2 interview at Lagos embassy. What's the use of a current priority date when the embassy is not going to schedule interview anyway?
  6. Visa bulletin out for August. EB2 for ROW moved to 1st April 2022. Hopefully we see some movements with appointments at Lagos embassy in this category.
