CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO.
My friend's mother got her permanent visa interview scheduled for June 21, but when she arrived at the Consulate in Mexico, they said that they couldn't do it because NVC hasn't sent the documents yet, even though the interview had been scheduled already. Now she's stuck in Ciudad Juarez all with dozens or hundreds of other people in the same situation.
My friend is desperate and needs help. Does anyone know what is happening and when she might have her interview rescheduled so she can go back to her family in the US?
It was rescheduled for June 26, but they still hasn't sent the documents. Now they're only waiting.
Here's the email that she received from the Consulate yesterday.
"Greetings, this email is regarding the case of:
......
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen technical circumstances, the National Visa Center has not been able to successfully transfer your case to Ciudad Juarez yet.
We are closely monitoring your case status with them to fix this as soon as possible. Once we receive your case, we will re-schedule your visa appointment. Please monitor your email."
