My mom’s I-130 was approved by USCIS on April 13th and sent to NVC on April 17th, and we still have not received the welcome letter from NVC. I have submitted several inquiries through their public inquiry form and have o let received generic responses. Last time, I received the generic message on Thursday that they have “received my inquiry and are working on it” and no updates since then. Previously, they had stated that the beneficiary’s and petitioner’s names are not matching the case number (which I have double checked several times and resubmitted in exactly the same format as in the I-130 form). It has been very frustrating, and I am afraid our case has been lost somewhere/fell through the cracks somehow. Anyone else experienced anything similar? I consulted with an attorney, and they are recommending to contact a US senator’s or congressman’s office and going through their immigration liaison, hopefully we’ll get some help this way… Amy advise or help would be appreciated!!!
