  1. Hello, I am a US citizen, and I currently live abroad with my wife (non US citizen) and our 3 kids (all US citizens). We are currently working on the I864 for my wife's green card. My uncle has agreed to be a joint sponsor, but I'm pretty confused about how to calculate household size. Obviously I'm calculating myself, wife and 3 dependent children - 5 on mine. However, I'm confused about my uncles calculation. It would be my wife, my uncle and my aunt - 3? The i864 specifically states "dependent children." Is the joint sponsor including my kids? We're all moving together, but my kids are already citizens and don't need to be sponsored. Please help - I'm quite confused with the instructions given my situation.
  2. Hello all, I submitted our I-130 online two weeks ago, and I noticed the portal allows us to upload additional documents even if USCIS isn't requesting it. Is it a good idea to upload more documents while we wait for our petition to process? While we've been waiting we thought of a few more financial documents we could get translated and upload. Is it a good idea to upload more documents while we wait for our petition to process?
  3. Thank you everyone for the feedback and help! It's very much appreciated!
  4. That's a very good point. I guess our brains must've malfunctioned when we read that. Thank you!
  5. Ah okay. Yeah, because this is actually the link the embassy sent us - https://pl.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/how-to-apply/
  6. Is everyone from abroad able to submit online? When we contacted the embassy in Warsaw, they sent us a link saying that people from Poland should send documents to the Chicago lockbox.
  7. Hello everyone, My wife and I are submitting are I-130 soon, but we are having a bit of a dilemma deciding when we should do it. We would like to submit it as soon as possible because we will have to mail all of our documents from Poland and given some of the wait times on processing everying - the sooner the better. However, our third child is due to be born in mid-August. We also be going through the process of obtaining their US citizenship through the US embassy here. We were wondering how easy it is to add a child to our application and whatnot after we have submit our I-130? We also will be going through the process of obtaining their US citizenship through the US embassy here. Is it a pain enough where we should wait until our child is born to send everything in? Or is it just a matter of submitting the necessary documents online or something? Because like I said, we would prefer to send everything in ASAP. Thank you!
  8. Ah okay, thank you for the responses! I will do that then. Just one more question then - once my parents receive these documents, will I need the physical copies? Or would just having photos my parents send me be enough? I've read NOA1 is an important document, but I'm just wondering how important it is to have the actual copy on me? Thank you again!
  9. Thank you for the response! That actually helps. Since they send documents to this address I think in this case, I will put my Polish address since I'm still living over here. Thank you!
  10. Hi All, I have a question regarding mailing address on the I-130 form. I'm currently a USC living abroad in Poland for the past 3 years, and I'm a little stumped on what I should put my mailing address as. Basically, I still use my parents house as my US mailing address and for conducting business in the US, and I use my current address in Poland for my business here. Should I use my US one since it may make a stronger case for proving domicile when we get to the I-864 process? Or is there the issue that stuff from USCIS may get sent there in the future? Thank you!
