    Hi, I'm needing some advice I'm on a J1 student visa. I'm wanting to marry my partner but he is sadly in prison so not sure if his criminal record would allow him to. And immigration lawyer told me I need to get hold of his criminal record so she can determine of he can or not. Just wanting to know as I can't afford 6k to pay an immagration lawyer for the process like she's asking. Would it be possible as a fiancé to get a Visa or would I have a better chance at getting married? If so, how much would it cost and can anyone recommend me the easiest and quickest way to make this possible as it’s all very overwhelming
