  2. Hey, yes Doctor office confirmed and i was able to tell based off updates they have received it plus my package with passport new criminal record photos etc. do you email the standard mtl embassy email?
  3. was this after they requested you mail it back after AP? I am getting nervous that its been over a month since i mailed in my passport and it still says refused....
  4. Does anyone know the timeline on how long from once you mail in your passport to expect it back? been waiting now just over a month with my last update on June 14th ( i assume that is when they picked it up from the post office). thanks!
  5. Hey all, My updated timeline I was requested on May 7,2024 to redo medical passport pictures, criminal and update ds-260 and mail it all in with passport. Completed medical on May 16th, which had my case update a couple days later ( i assume they received it). Mailed in my whole package on May 30th. My case last updated on June 14th ( I assume that is when the consulate picked it up). Curious how long is typical as i do not have a passport and its scary based off my DS 5335 how long this can be. FYI My original interview and DS5335 was May 8 2023 (Yes almost a whole year waiting for that update!) thanks!
  6. Hey Shawnk, I am in a similar situation as you with my timelines. Someone recommended the same process as you mentioned to get a dual working visa. Do you have more detail on what dual intent working visa entails? What do i need to prove to get one.

    Thanks!!

  7. can someone please post the spreadsheet for timelines on AP Processing. thanks!
  8. I have been on AP since May 3rd and have gotten multiple automatic response. I emailed them on Oct 16 and got a response that sounded generic but added in the and acknowledged the date of my interview. Does this mean anything? All my kids got their green cards while I am stuck waiting....
  9. Hi Eric, I have an interview for my daughter. similar situation as yours where my wife is American however never lived in the USA so used the Grandfather Law. Does the Grandfather have to come to the actual interview? got mixed messages from different people.
  10. Update: i sent the consulate a email a couple of weeks ago and they sent me a response ( looks generic) however my case finally updated for the first time. Does anyone have experience with that? Message from them is below. Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. We realize that these extended time periods cause frustration to many individuals, and we are sensitive to the fact that the purpose of the immigrant visa program is to facilitate legitimate travel to the U.S. Nonetheless, the Consulate in Montreal, like all U.S. Embassies and Consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive consular review and administrative processing. While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the State Department are aware of your concerns and will contact you as soon as the processing is complete. We hope that this information is helpful in replying to your inquiry. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Regards,
  11. I am still under AP with refused with no update since my interview. I happen to be going back to the consulate for my sons interview, has any one had experience with discussing with the officer there for a update on my case. or am I asking for trouble for bringing it up to them during my sons interview?
  12. Thanks @LAMA9, Unfortunately i was placed under AP for DS-5335. My interview went well and the agent told me i was approved for a green card just their "computer "for AP was down and they would be sending me a confirmation email. All i got was a email for AP and submit a DS5335 and that they would be sending back my passport (without my green card). Wish there was someone to talk to.
