  1. Office: Tampa, Fl Submitted online: 05/25 (NYC office) Change address: 06/28 Interview notice: 08/09 Interview date: 09/13 Oath Ceremony; 10/12 I went to my interview on Sept 13 and checked in at 720 but didnt get called until 8:25am. I got a very nice officer for my case. She made me feel like it was just any other conversation with a workmate. She placed me under oath and did the civics test first. I got 6 questions correctly and moved to all the yes or no questions. I was so nervous when it came to the travel part because of all the travels I had the last 3 years. Luckily, all went well during the interview. I had pending i751 and she said she couldnt approve my n400 without the i751's approval. She said it should only take a day or 2 to finish it. I was so happy how the interview went but was still nervous because i didnt get approved on the spot. To my surprise my n400 status change to Oath will be scheduled the following day. I'm done with USCIS now🥳🥳🥳 I wish everyone goodluck on their citizenship journey!
  2. hi guys! im back for an update for anyone interested. I went to my interview yesterday. I got checked in at 720 but didnt get called until 8:25am. I got a very nice officer for my case. She made me feel like it was just any other conversation with a workmate. She placed me under oath and did the civics test first. I got 6 questions correctly and moved to all the yes or no questions. I was so nervous when it comes to the travel part but she only asked me when was my last travel and when i came back and THAT was it. She only counter the days I was out of the country. She didnt ask me anymore about it and just continued updating my file. I had pending i751 and she said she couldnt approve my n400 without the i751's approval. She said it should only take a day or 2 to finish it. I was so happy how the interview went but was still nervouse because i didnt get approved on the spot. To my surprise this morning, my n400 status change to Oath will be scheduled! I guess my stars were aligned yesterday and today and got soooooooo lucky! I hope everyone goodluck to their journey! 🥳 @Mike E pls dont eat the crow😅
  3. It'll be the sweetest surprise if that happens. Thanks!
  4. im actually convinced already that i wont get it just with the travels I made. But you pointing out about the 3 month residency just sealed it for me. pls let the poor crow fly lol😂
  5. @Mike E I guess its a no way out for me starting from 3 month residency rule then the break in continuous residency. I'll attend the interview not expecting anything. Thanks everyone for your feedback! it really gave me so much information about n400. It will be very helpful when I reapply.
  6. @Mike E We were living in NY for almost 4 yrs before the trip and went back after then applied the citizenship. Thats why I said I believe I am compliant with 3month rule. 1. We kept a PO Box and thats what was our mailing address during the trip. 2. Yes. We were in PH from Feb. to April.
  7. @Lil bear i didnt even think about it in that perspective. ofcourse the IO would think that way because thats what they are trained to do to see through applicants. In my mind my intent is to show that i have the intention of not abandoning my residency by not being out of the US for more than 6 months.
  8. @Mike E thanks for the reply. here are the answers: 1. He was with me the whole travel time. 2. Yes. 3. Ive been back here in the US for a month before I applied for citizenship. We were based in NY. To my understanding the 3 month residency reqt prior to filing is if you have resided in the jurisdiction handling your case for 3 months? pls correct me if i'm wrong. 4. No. We also sold our minivan prior to the travel bec it was already having issues just after one year of buying it and we also thought it could save us some money by not having to pay for the car and insurance. In retrospect, we should have kept it. So now the only proof that i have reallt are tax transcript for 3 years and bank records.
  9. Thank you for your input! I only have 3 yrs tax transcripts and bank records while away. I am a stay at home mom and my husband is retired already. Do you know what kind of documents to prove that i did not work abroad?
  10. Hi everyone! Im trying to get some feedback from anyone who has experience or anyone who knows something about my concern. I have my n400 interview next week based on 3yr marriage to US citizen and I just came back from an 9 month out of the country vacation when I applied last May. I know that more than 6 months out of the country may break the continuous residence thats why before the 6 month of my travel I went to Guam (its closer to Asia than going back here) as it is a US territory. then I went back to asia after 4 days in Guam and went back to US last April. So thats from Aug 2022 - April 2023 with an exit to Guam before the 6 month. Technically, I didnt break the continuous residence if going to Guam is considered as going back to the US too. Or does this jeopardize my application? Thanks for your feedback in advance.
  11. I got an update today that my testing and interview has been scheduled 5/25 - filed online (3yr rule) with pending i751 5/25 - reused biometrics 5/26 - case being actively reviewed 6/28 - i changed address from NY to FL 7/13 - got an update that my address was changed (but never got an update in USCIS account that my cases were transferred) 8/01 - testing and interview scheduled for sept 13 at 730am in Tampa. Question: do I have to contact the office before the interview that I have a pending i751 or i should mention it on the interview date? thanks everyone!
  12. Yup. Ill probably go ahead and submit the change separately. I tried changing it from my online account before but it says "You cannot edit your mailing address or physical address during this part of the adjudication process." Thanks for the reply❤️
  13. Hi everyone, I just moved from NY to Florida recently and I want to update my address now for my 2 pending cases i751 and N400. However, it does not allow me to enter my 2 cases at the same time when i try to file the change online thru AR11 . I tried enterning n400 first then i751 is not on the list of form types to submit and vice versa. Does anyone experience this? Do you think it would be an issue if I submitted the change of address separately for each case? Thank you in advance. I submitted my N400 last May 25 and hoping the transfer will make the process faster.
