    We are in our AOS process right now. Is it possible for the immigrant (greencard application) to sign up for a credit card? What are the processes? Does she need to establish credit and sign up for creditkarma or something first? Because she has no credit history in the US.

    This is the case for us. We are married and living together now, and her job will continue after she gets her greencard. Does her income factor into the support then? And if my job situation changes, will it affect the case? If we still are over the poverty limit comfortably with her and mine's income?

    If the intending immigrant has been approved for work authorization, and they get a job, does that income factor in towards the Affidavit of Support?

    No, we are in the Adjustment of Status process. We received an NOA and have a biometrics appointment.

    Is it possible to put my wife on my CoveredCA plan while we are adjusting her status? What options does she have? We want to see a gynecologist about birth control and some symptons. Thank you

    But what should be put as the ending date for her Finnish apartment? Her official lease ended 2 months after she arrived here.

    Quick question on Employment History. It says they want the history for the past 5 years. If I was unemployed during those times, Do I need to put unemployed with the dates of unemployment? Or do they just want the dates of my employed positions? Thank you

    On the i-485, it asks about my wife's address history. She came here in early June as a visitor originally. It was only towards the end of her visit we decided to do the adjustment of status. She still had her job/lease etc in Finland. So in the address history, what date does she put as the start date of living here in the US with me? Is it the day when she came to visit? Or when she decided to do the adjustment of status? Or when her Finnish apartment lease officially ended? She is not officially on the lease on our current apartment.

    But if one of the 3 years barely hits the poverty limit, wouldn't that hinder our case?

    Hmm but how come they only require 1?

    So I was unemployed until recently, but now got a job (it doesn't quite hit the requirements, but we have savings much more than x3 the difference) Should I get my employer to write me a letter confirming my position/salary? And what other stuff should she/he put in the letter? Also, what is included in the Cover Letter?
