    Yes but i thought if i file the i539 before it ends I'm able to stay in the USA for 240 days?

    how as in where will i stay? or you mean legally stay?

    Ah okay that would be perfect, yeah just weighing up options! So if I filed from the US it could take a year but I'd be fine to stay whilst its pending? Is the a home residency bar or anything?

    Hello, just a quick question. I'm currently in the USA on a Q1 visa and have been accepted and issued an i20 by a college I'm looking to attend in the summer of 2024. My Q1 Visa ends in January and I'm looking to file an I539 to adjust to an F1 visa. I just want to make sure I'd be able to stay in the USA whilst doing so and all of this is actually possible to do so without going back to my home country first.
