  1. 9/1: I-485 approved 9/7: Card produced 9/10: New unrestricted SSN arrived 9/12: Green card arrived!
  2. I can answer the first part. I did my I-485 with my new name and made sure to have my maiden name in the "Other names I used" part of the form. My I-485 just got approved with no RFE so that part should be fine!
  3. My wife took a whole week off work and brought me around New York after we got married and then I spent my first few months just doing house chores and catching up on my TV shows while she's at work. I also picked up a new hobby (playing Survivor games on discord) if you want the social interaction while still not being able to travel and that was a great use of time too. Also looked up jobs around the area to see where I could start applying once I get my EAD. Basically, I just used the time like I am on unemployment lol
  4. Yes, nothing else was updated as you can see in screenshot but when the EAD card was delivered it marked as case closed and the card was a combo card
  5. It showed up like this for me after we got EAD approved. But when they send the EAD card it's combo with AP and both got updated with case closed.
  6. Hi everyone, especially the ones in PA, I want to get a driving license and was wondering do I have to go through all the process? (written test, 65 hours driving practice, driving test etc) or could I possibly just get one because I have a driving license from my origin country? Thanks
  7. Received my SSN card today! I didn't do my SSN card before marriage and ticked on the SSN in the form if anyone is wondering on receiving SSN timeline.
  8. We got self united married in PA. Marriage License was applied by the Montgomery County Orphans' Court, then they will have you attend a quick zoom meeting to tell you what is the next step. Just need to have 2 witnesses and we had my wife's brother and his girlfriend. After that, return the duplicate certificate portion of your marriage license via regular mail and a certified copy will be provided after.
  9. Got the EAD/AP card today! 29 April 2024 - mailed I-485, I-131 and I-765 via USPS to Chicago lockbox 30 Apr 2024 - USPS confirmed delivered 18 Jun 2024 - Date on NOA letter (received it a few days later) 20 Jun 2024 - Credit Card charged $2330 21 Jun 2024 - Case updated Biometric Scheduled 12 July 2024 - Biometric Appointment 13 July 2024 - EAD/AP approved 23 July 2024 - Combo Card produced 27 July 2024 - Combo card arrived
  10. Bio appointment was yesterday and today just got notice the EAD and AP is approved!
  11. After trying the date and go a day earlier one day at a time, I can update my timeline if I put an earlier date. AOS NOA & EAD NOA as 11 June and AP NOA as 28 May. But it doesn't reflect my real timeline as my NOA date for all 3 is 18th June.
  12. I tried to update my NOA date for my AOS, EAD and AP but keep getting this error. My Date filed is 30 Apr and my NOA is on 18 June EDIT: This is what it looks like when I go back to edit and fix the error
  13. Got a date for my biometric appointment. It will be on 12th July
  14. Update on my timeline! 29 April 2024 - mailed I-485, I-131 and I-765 via USPS to Chicago lockbox 30 Apr 2024 - USPS confirmed delivered 18 Jun 2024 - Date on NOA letter (received it a few days later) 20 Jun 2024 - Credit Card charged $2330 21 Jun 2024 - Case updated Biometric Scheduled

  16. Haven’t heard anything from USCIS yet but our check was cashed this morning!
  17. Filed 30 Apr here. Still waiting for NOA. Our cheque haven’t been cashed yet.
  18. VISA APPROVED TODAY YAY

  19. Our timeline just for our reference and for others as well. We used an attorney services as we feel a lot better if someone else more equipped could handle the official forms and documents and we don't want to mess up/delay the process.

Attorney asked for all our documents and filled up the forms for us (Form G-28 for representation of attorney and Form I-129F)

22nd Nov '23: Case received by Embassy from NVC

22nd Nov '23: Forms and Checklist sent to Beneficiary. Attorney compiled all this for us with a lot of back and forth emails. However, there is a bit of delay on our I-134 form as petitioner's 2022 Tax wasn't filed but attorney proceded to compile other documents.

29th Nov '23: Foreign Beneficiary compiles required forms (Attorney filled up DS-160 application for us). Note on how long it took to compile other documents:
    - Police certificate: Application submitted on 17th Nov and approved on 12th Dec. Picking up the certificate from Ministry of Foreign Affairs only took 30 minutes.
    - Translation of birth certificate: 3 days process. We used ITBM and paid RM100 for 2 copies. Send on Friday afternoon, picked up Monday noon. Can also apply online on their website.

20th Dec '23: Completed Forms sent to Consulate - still haven't done this as we're waiting for I-134 form completion. But we received email from embassy on this date after scheduling an interview.

22nd & 26th Dec '23: Fiance(e) must attend medical interview prior to interview. Paid RM714 22nd Dec '23 for 2 vaccinations (COVID booster, Influenza + X-Ray) and RM230 26th Dec '22 for 2 more vaccinations (MMR, TDAP). Clinic was located nearby to Masjid Jamek LRT (3 min walk to Bangunan Ming and clinic is on 2nd floor) and X-Ray clinic is 5 min walk from Masjid Jamek LRT (walk towards Menara DBKL, clinic is located at Menara DBKL 2 besides Maybank). If you're driving, parking at clinic is RM3 for 1st hour and RM5 for subsequent hours (only accept cash). Clinic accepts cash and credit/debit cards.

20th Dec '23: U.S. Embassy issues Beneficiary with Interview date. We checked everyday for an interview slot from 29th Nov and only have 16th Jan available when we checked on 20th Dec.

11th Jan '24: Interview practice scheduled with attorney over Zoom

16th Jan '24: Beneficiary has Interview at U.S. Embassy

That's all our update so far (27th Dec '23 when I wrote this). For now, we're still waiting for 2022 Tax Transcript to complete I-134 form and we need to reply the embassy email one week before the interview so hopefully we'll get everything together before 9th Jan '24.
