I haven't checked Pods, but i checked U-pack, similar concept, price was higher then U-haul for the truck & trailer.
Timing of when the belongings arrive to Los Angeles is an issue and i am trying to avoid putting the mileage on my car. That is why the U-haul is attractive as i can control the timing and I'm doing the trip once for both the belongings and the car without adding millage to the car.
I read that people do cross the border with U-haul and I'm just wondering how they deal with the insurance. I can't be that hard.
I'm going to explore the option of transferring across the border to a US based u-haul and see if i get their insurance options. but just the thought of loading, emptying the tand loading again in the span of a couple of hours, is not attractive.
