  1. Me and my wife became Documentarily Qualified on December 15th. I was wondering if while we are waiting for our interview date we can apply for the I-601 waiver so we can get a religious exemption for the vaccines. Everywhere I'm hearing, people are saying that applying for that extends the process which leads me to believe that you can only apply for that after the medical exam. Is that right? Or am I allowed to apply in parallel?
  2. Oh noo she's not visiting for the wedding. She's visiting just to be with me while we wait for the K1 to process. The wedding part is not that important. Is the fact that she will have a K1 interview back in Manilla, not a strong enough tie back to the Philippines?
  3. We already applied for the K1 visa and the interview will most likely happen around the time the 6 month visit is over so I'm hoping that would convince them that she'll be returning back.
  4. The wedding itself is not that important. I mostly just want her to visit here while we wait for the K-1 to go through.
  5. I applied for a tourist visa in order to get my fiance here for a wedding. However because of the long wait, I wasn't able to get the interview scheduled for the wedding in time (2 days off). I then applied for an emergency visa, not knowing that you're not allowed to use those for weddings. I then got 2 emails, one saying i was approved and another saying I was denied. After checking back in the website, I was able to adjust the dates to an earlier time to about 1 week before the wedding. And looking back on the site it says it's an emergency. I'm not sure if this would hurt her chances of getting the Visa now since it's not an emergency. Should I contact someone about it? Also If it is approved, would we still need to wait weeks after the interview to get the visa since it has an emergency status?
