As an update. We ended up calling last week on Feb 7th. They told us they did not receive our case. A week later on Feb 14th I got a notification that my check was cashed. We called again today and finally got a receipt number. Still nothing in the mail even though they supposedly sent it out on the 9th. Not quite sure why our case is so delayed compared to some others right now. Regardless it is progress and hopefully the rest of the process proceeds smoothly. I would like to thank everyone for the comments. They have been incredibly helpful.

Yeah it was USPS, we assumed it was due to weather at the time but now not sure. I don't suppose anyone suggests trying to send another? Is there a way to inquire if they got it?

Is it typical for them to process applications so randomly? Several others who sent in their AOS at the same time got replies only a week or 2 later. What concerns me is it took over a week for them to receive it according to tracking despite us sending it by priority.

Hi, On January 5th we sent our AOS packet to the Chicago PO box and have still not received and receipt nor have they cashed the check? Is this normal? We are a bit worried as the k1 visa is up on Feb 15th. Thanks!

Hi! Next week my fiancee will be going through her k1 interview. We are hoping to travel together to the US by mid-late November. I have been living in the Philippines with her and our son, who is about 10months old, for almost an entire year now. So we know we will need to get the CFO for her, and I need an exit interview myself for my Philippine visa. But the question is what for our son? He already has his Certificate of birth abroad and both a US Passport and a Philippines Passport. Does he need anything else before he can leave with us to the US? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks!
