I am a Canadian citizen and got the job at a university in the USA. I am going to take my spouse with me. My employer is going to apply for an H1B visa for me, but I am wondering if I should apply for an H4 for my spouse with an H1B visa or wait until my passport gets back with an H1B visa stamp. Also, I would like to know how to apply for H4 or if you can give me any suggestions related to expediting my H1B or H4 visa.
