  1. Hi all, post-interview update regarding delivery time in the UK ( 4 buisness days ). - I was approved at my interview on the 17th of December ( really quick interview by the way, just make sure you have all your paperwork ). - I received my passport with the Visa Stamp on the 23rd of December ( the stamp is a very detailed piece of ID and serves as a temporary green card for 1 year after your first entry ) - I entered the US on the 24th of December ——— - After your interview you should go onto the NVC website and go to the ‘check case status’ section. Here you will see updates regarding your visa. - my case status read: Approved ( immediately after interview) , Administrative Processing (18th of December) , and Issued (19th of December ) - once it said issued I got a notification that my passport would be with me in 1-2 days, and then it updated to say it would be with me on Monday the 23rd ——— important: - once you receive your passport you need to pay a final fee to get your green card printed and sent to your American address (<3months time to get it printed). You need to pay this fee before you enter the US I think. - while waiting for your green card the stamp in your passport serves as your travel, residence and work authorisation.
  2. Hi all, just wanted to say that i had my interview today and was approved! Please know that the interview is literally the easiest part of the CR1 process. Its just stress collating all your paperwork. I wanted to say thank you to everyone in this forum! The knowledge and experiences shared on here REALLY got me through the uncertain periods lol. I still think waiting for the I130 approval was the worst part of the process 1.5 years after sending off that I-130.... Can't believe it took this long.... but the journey is over for me. TIP: If you hit the reschedule button it will take 3-4weeks until you can actually see alternative interview dates!!
  3. For those following. I was able to reschedule my appointment from The 16th to the 17th of December. please be aware that if you reschedule your appointment you will be placed into this weird limbo zone where you have no appointment for 2-3 weeks
  4. Guys just a warning if you reschedule your appointment you’ll automatically lose your slot 🥲 which is ridiculous because rn there’s no reschedule slots it just says ‘try again later’. Wish that was made clear that you can’t just look at reschedules Technical team has given us an email that might help… but basically they’ve let us know that we’ll just have to check the reschedule everyday until the embassy releases new dates Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would love any tips
  5. It’s advised no less than 5 working days and no more than 6 months before arrival date to USA Tried to register appointment and it says ‘case not ready’. I’m assuming it’s because the system hasn’t updated yet Anyone else experiencing this ?
  6. Hi all, we just got out IL! DQ August 21st Interview date 16th of December
  7. Im August 21st ! we were DQ’d VERY quickly so I have to believe that August was a quiet month.. hopefully that bodes well for ILs
  8. Congratulations! How did you find out about the interview letter? Was it emailed or did you log into CEAC
  9. Does anyone know of any online tools to track what date is getting their invitations ?
  10. Hi everyone. We got DQ’d yesterday (21/08/24). I’d really appreciate it if someone could answer these questions.. 1. Do we get emailed when the NVC sends our case to the embassy? 2. Or is it immediate after the DQ 3. Is it true that the embassy sends ILs at the end of the month?
  11. Hi all, very pleased to announce that we have just been Documentarily Qualified (DQ'd) Submitted DS260 on the 17th of August DQ'd on the 21st of August Only 2 working days can you believe it?? --- it took 23 days from the i-130 approval to get DQ'd
  12. Is there an average time for: - The time between completing the NVC stage and reciving interview letter - How far in advance the interview is scheduled for
  13. Guys 2 questions-- 1. What is the email address that invites you to the NVC? 2. Does the NVC send the invitation to the beneficiary or petitioner?
  14. Hi everyone, recent I-130 June approval here (PD 11th of June 2023, approval 30th of July 2024). I wanted to share my experience with the USCIS timer. I wanted to let everyone know to not trust the USCIS timer. Despite being approved, the estimated time still says '5months' (last month it was 10 months) and the home page still says 'currently being actively reviewed'. Over the course of our wait we got down to 1 week and then 'your case is taking longer than expected' about three times. The most accurate measure have been THESE forums. I got approved the same day people from 10-13th of June 2023 got approved. However, some applicants from earlier in June are still waiting. So USCIS doesnt follow a strict chronological pattern.. and they also approve multiple days at once... so its more like general trends. But yeah-- do not trust the approx time it is LIAR! PS. we got an email saying 'action has been taken' and the approval letter was in the DOCUMENTS section of my.uscis. The homepage did NOT update from 'case is being actively reviewed'. Hang in there! This process is awful for ones mental health.
