I think I miscommunicated here. My spouse is NOT in the military. I just forgot to check the box and say no. Spouse is a hospital worker. The form asks for occupation and employer which is filled out correctly in a different field. That said the IO should be able to glance over the other field and quickly learn that spouse is not an n the military but works at the hospital.

I am applying for naturalization under a 5 yr rule. My spouse's current employment is listed in other fields so they can see that info if they think of it. If they do cash the check I am wondering if I should just ride it and see if they call me to interview where I can ask to check the box right there... do RFEs significantly delay cases?

I sure hope so. Does the USCIS ever ignore or even miss such errors?

My N-400 application was delivered a few days ago and currently waiting for my check to be cashed. Upon checking the copy of my application I discovered that I missed the box asking if my spouse is in the military or not. What is likely to happen? Reject and send back or accept and then send me RFE? thanks.
