  1. Congratulations, see? nothing to worry about. Hopefully the rest of us will get some good news soon as well!
  2. Yep, I'm in the 97000 range myself, and being in this range sucks. I wouldn't worry about it, I think we'll get our approval in the coming weeks.
  3. Not sure how I missed that, sorry I meant to say I am the petitioner, not the beneficiary.
  4. I am the beneficiary and I have nothing, no blemishes whatsoever, my case still pending. I have a friend that had to wait much longer than most for his approval, also no issues just USCIS taking their time. Don't hate me for saying this but in my humble opinion USCIS just doesn't have a good process in place, that's why we have cases from many months before June pending, hundreds of June cases still pending, and they're working and even focusing on July these days. We can come up with theories but I won't do that. Again, just my opinion, but if you haven't done anything crazy in the past, anything that will cause your case to be denied, you'll just get approved eventually either directly or after an RFE etc. I doubt even USCIS knows when, just need to be patient!
  5. What other source? Anyway this update was only for june 2022 petitions. USCIS is working on multiple months, in fact most approvals were from July not June. In other words June filers, especially my range 97000, are screwed. In a less selfish note, I feel for May, April, and beyond filers, those of them that are still waiting!
  6. Congrats! When was your NOA1? Never mind, I saw it in your timeline. We got our NOA1 a couple of weeks after you.
  7. Who knows, yes 97000 and 98500 are probably the worst ranges to be in now, but other ranges have plenty of pending cases and maybe our ranges will start moving even faster than the rest. It's the randomness that's quite frustrating, who knows how they handle these batches. Simply put, they don't have a good system in place, FIFO would be nice. Anyway I've complained enough, on a positive note who expected to look at a 12-14 month turn around for K1 at USCIS last year? Heck I remember thinking 18 months if we're lucky.
  8. My NOA1 was also on 6/23, 97000 range which is the range with the least activity unfortunately. Are you in the same range? Let's be honest, it does feel very random and unfair but hopefully soon we'll get some relief.
  9. I feel your pain. I'm in range 97000, and to me it seems the only range that hasn't even been touched. other ranges seem to at least have had RFEs. I guess my question is for those petitions that are left behind, are there certain ranges bunched together that are being left behind or is it random petitions from multiple ranges? I almost don't want to know the answer because I might not like it.
  10. I just did some research, it seems that you're right, the child needs to be a permanent resident if the parent became a USC after birth, I was not aware of this. I thought the child could enter under any category and become a US citizen automatically. I agree, and that's why I was careful with my terminology, I had a friend that had a similar situation but his child was born when he was a US citizen already but he wasn't aware his child could get US paperwork immediately. I don't mean to confuse anyone especially the OP, if I did I apologize.
  11. I didn't mean this applies to all, I don't know all the details only the OP does, I'm just making them aware of these facts. I don't even know when the petitioner can apply for N400, that may be years from now, but I just felt that these options weren't being mentioned by those who replied above for some reason.
  12. Hi Everyone, I'm new here and I haven't fully set up my profile yet, K1 filer. I registered specifically for this thread. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the children (under 18) of a USC automatically US citizens? I'm seeing that people are advising the OP not to apply for N400 (the petitioner of course). From what I read, my assumption is that this baby is the child of the petitioner of course, I feel that's a safe assumption to make. Again, correct me if I'm wrong. If you filed in December of 2022 you might be waiting a long time, but I do think changing category from F2A to CR1/IR1 can dramatically speed up the process AFAIK. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/travel-legal-considerations/us-citizenship/child-citizenship-act-of-2000.html
