    Atlast I received my passport with the visa stamped! Can't believe this whole process took over 3 years! Here is my timeline for IR1 visa: Dec 2021: I-130 filed Aug 7, 2023: Interview held and was refused Aug 11, 2023: Submitted DS-5535 form Oct 8, 2024: Requested to send passport, photos and updated medical Jan 8, 2025: ceac status showed Issued Jan 22, 2025: Passport delivered with visa stamped This group has been very very helpful.     I finally received my tracking number. They are sending my passport through purolator. My status showed Issued on Jan 8th and just received the tracking number today.

    Thank you! Im not sure but Im guessing its been over one year I completed that form. I wished they asked me complete it when they requested my passport.

    Im happy to share that my visa IR1 was issued today. I still did not receive any email with the tracking number yet. Below is my timeline throughout this whole painful process: Dec 17 2021: Filed I-130 application Aug 7 2023: Interview in Montreal and was refused Aug 11 2023: Submitted DS-5535 form Oct 8 2024: Admin process was completed and requested passport, 2 photos and second medical. Oct 29 2024: passport and photos received at the consulate office Oct 31 2024: second medical received Nov 18 2024: was advised to update the Ds 260 form. Done on the same day. Jan 8 2024: Visa issued on ceac. Thank you everyone! There is still light at the end of the tunnel!

    Its been now 5 weeks since they have my passport and new medical. Last update on ceac is on Nov 19th and nothing after that. Did u guys reach out to consulate asking for an update after they have your passport and medical for such a long time? Im wondering if I should reach out to senator again asking for an update.

    No update on my status. Last update was on Nov 19th and nothing after that. Its going to be a month they received everything. Still waiting...😑

    I emailed them asking if they have received my passport after I got the confirmation the courier service was delivered. They responded after 2 weeks that they acknowledge receipt of my passport and photos.

    I had updates on Nov 15, 18, and 19th today. Nov 15th, they acknowledged receipt of my passport, medical and photos. Nov 18th, they requested Ds 260 updated form and to email them the confirmation page.(Done same day) Todays update I believe is related to the email I sent them yesterday. Status still showing Refused! 😑

    Yes, its been more than a year since my interview. I had to only update my travel information. Hope this will not create another delay with the process. 😣

    Sent my passport, photos and new medical on October 30th which consulate confirmed receipt on Nov 15th. Received an email from them today asking to update the DS 260 form and email copy of the confirmation page. Wish they requested this at the time when they requested my passport and medical. 😑

    I did my test on Oct 21st and they sent the results to the consulate on Oct 31st, so it look 10 days for me.

    It is indeed very frustrating! I just got a response from them "This case is currently pending review by a consular officer. As soon as the review is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps if anything else is needed to complete processing the case." This was related to my inquiry sent over 2 weeks ago. I really hope they don't ask for police check next. Just wondering if I should contact senator to inquire about the status.
