As much as I want to lash out at the US embassy Pakistan, you have to look at the situation in Pakistan as well. Pakistan has probably the worst recording keeping in the world. On my last trip to Pakistan I asked a guy, he was poor but still, how old he was? His answer 30-35. Didn’t know what day, month or year his birthday was . next if you haven’t had your interview yet, the best piece of advice that no one will give you is give the interview in your native tongues. Urdu, Punjabi, Pashtu, etc etc etc. no matter how confident your spouse is with English, even if they have phd in English from a Pakistan university they will never be on the same level as a native speaker aka the counselor. true story: a girl decided to give the interview in English. Midway through the interview she started getting confused and she is can I have the translator now. And the officer just laughed loudly. listen you can do whatever you want but immigration is a matter of national security and they are looking for any reason to deny you or delay the process. don’t give them doubts that don’t exist to delay your case bc of misunderstandings due to language. And make sure your documents have same info every where. So if one document have a middle name, all documents need to have a middle name.

Thank you poodena. Please share w us when you get the passport back with us

google NVC case status, it will open NVC page. You enter your case number and it will show if you are in AP

It was a joke that is why I put lol bc in message it is hard to tell when you are serious/joking/rude. So yea. no need to be soo sensitive on a random chat board.

Poodena, can you ask your wife who interviewed her? Was it a female and if yes was it a chubby female or skinny?
-
lol it seems like you work in the US embassy, you have so much knowledge. Please spend less time on this chat group and more time in sending everyone interview letters and finish the backlog please.
-
Did you check on the NVC status page? If they gave your wife that her visa is approved you should get the passport in less than a week.
-
Hello Podeena, You mean to say 3-4 days right not week? Also, did they give you wife any paper like her visa has been approved?

Hello Poodena, I saw on states website that says from I864 doesnt expire, will submitting additional documents perhaps slow down the process since they "never" asked for them? We dont want to wait either after such a long wait but sumbitting all this info perhaps slow down this process for them it will be an excuse that they have to review all these docs. We have also gotten a new police certificate too because i read an article that says it expires after 2 years. I am attaching the screenshot from the states website, it was under Q/A section.

Hello Podeena, Have you uploaded new AOS docs? If you have or plan on doing are you doing just the tax documents to show updated income or are you also resubmitting form I864 in addition to the updated tax returns for the last 2+ years?
-
Hi Podeena, Congrats on the IL. Can you please share where you are getting this info that we have to update the AOS docs?
-
Thank you for your reply, but should we update all these documents when the embassy/nvc have not asked for updated documents and even on the site it says the AOS docs dont expire/are indefinate. Did you have to update when you went thru this process?
-
Hello, I am little bit stressed about the interview process because we have already waited so long. Now online(one many chatroom) I read that someone say they want updated documents. However, on state website it says that AOS docs dont expire and are indefinate. So I am not sure if to submit additional docs because dont want to raise unnecessary questions/doubts to this already slow process.

We didnt get it made yet but we have to get it from a doctor, we get the covid certificate from NADRA
-
Thank you Podeena, have you already done your interview?

hello everyone, does anyone know/can help me with the following concerns a. when we applied we submitted the AOS(tax documents), however, due to the long wait at ISL embassy now that our interview has finally been scheduled should I submit most recent documents even though embassy didn't mention but it has been 2+ years since we submitted the tax returns that got approved. b. medical exam: The embassy is saying take the records of your immunization to your appointment. However, the doctor in Pakistan is saying just bring Polio+Covid records. If anyone has had a recent interview/know this info please help us out as we have already waited 3 years and dont want to delay the process more due to technicality. Much appreciated.
