  1. I completely understand the process. During my last engagement I did indeed go to Pakistan for the engagement and collected proper documents to provide evidence of our relationship. I created my I-129F packet and submitted to USCIS which was accepted and approved then was forwarded to the NVC. The NVC then forwarded my petition to the Islamabad embassy. Honestly we were waiting for the interview when she suddenly decide to ghost. I even wrote an apology and withdrawal letter to the USCIS for wasting their time. I have no intention of fraud but you must understand I lost two years of my life while she already got engaged to someone the week after ghosting me. I want to be 100% transparent with the next prospect if they decide to go through with this. It’s a big commitment from both parties.
  2. if I have said anything wrong I apologize. My only intention is to get proper information and make a decision based on that.
  3. it’s a matter of how long both sides want to wait. If we decide to speak to them, one of the first questions will be how long is it going to take. I’d rather be 100% transparent and give them truthful information about the timeline so we can make an informed decision to see if that is acceptable to both parties or not and avoid wasting time.
  4. I agree 100%. I really want to make a careful decision and really vett the person before going through the k1 process. This is my mentality as well. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
  5. So in our community a matchmaker sent us a prospects profile. My mom showed me her profile. I liked it, we have a very similar background and come from the same ethnicity and are of the same age range. Im interested in moving to the talking stage to see if they are interested. But before I do that, I want to see if the UAE timelines are feasible. What is so strange about that?
  6. I’m looking into a match that lives in Abu Dhabi. I’m looking at the most recent timeline and it looks like it’s less than a year from noa1 to interview which is very favorable. Please let me know what the current timeline is like.
  7. where did i say they were a broker or agency? You really shouldnt comment on a culture or situation you dont understand
  8. cant do dating. It isn’t allowed in Islam. Plus I’ve heard those dating apps are a disaster anyways. Like 90% of women only matching with 10% of men on those apps. Such is life, oh well. Best to focus on other endeavors then.
  9. i know. Thats why I wished the times were shorter. Im not waiting another 3 years when my ex-fiance just wasted my 2 years of my time and didnt even apologize. I just feel all doors are closed for me now. Just wished things were different.
  10. if i could find someone. Not as many options locally unfortunately. I was speaking to a matchmaker, she had way more girls to speak to in pakistan.
  11. no longer doing it. My ex-fiancee just ghosted me and wated nearly 2 years of my life. I just dont want to go through another waiting period like that.
  12. There are so many women in Pakistan im interested in marrying but gosh I cant wait 3+ years. Its just so unreasonable. Will the wait ever come down to a reasonable time period?
  13. If i get engaged again to someone else from the same country, what would I have to do? Would I have to send in a petition? I just want to make sure im clear.
