  1. where did i say they were a broker or agency? You really shouldnt comment on a culture or situation you dont understand
  2. cant do dating. It isn’t allowed in Islam. Plus I’ve heard those dating apps are a disaster anyways. Like 90% of women only matching with 10% of men on those apps. Such is life, oh well. Best to focus on other endeavors then.
  3. i know. Thats why I wished the times were shorter. Im not waiting another 3 years when my ex-fiance just wasted my 2 years of my time and didnt even apologize. I just feel all doors are closed for me now. Just wished things were different.
  4. if i could find someone. Not as many options locally unfortunately. I was speaking to a matchmaker, she had way more girls to speak to in pakistan.
  5. no longer doing it. My ex-fiancee just ghosted me and wated nearly 2 years of my life. I just dont want to go through another waiting period like that.
  6. There are so many women in Pakistan im interested in marrying but gosh I cant wait 3+ years. Its just so unreasonable. Will the wait ever come down to a reasonable time period?
  7. If i get engaged again to someone else from the same country, what would I have to do? Would I have to send in a petition? I just want to make sure im clear.
  8. how come they aren’t responding to my email or giving a confirmation?
  9. Hi Everyone, I previously was engaged and applied for the K-1 fiancée visa for my ex-fiancée, however, she called off the engagement in May of 2024. So things ended. Then I received an email that my petition had reached the Islamabad embassy in August. I’d didn’t really bother doing anything since I just didn’t care anymore and thought the petition would expire since I wouldn’t be responding to the request for interview or any other steps. But now I’m wondering how can I withdraw it? I just don’t want any negative consequences from doing nothing. I sent an email to both NVC and US embassy in Islamabad . NVC told me to contact the embassy. I emailed the embassy twice but haven’t heard back. What should I do?
  10. I received my NOA2 on 1/21/2024. Shortly after i received the I-797 letter in the mail stating that my approval period is from 1/22/2024 to 5/21/2024. I emailed the NVC and i got the following response from them: "To Whom it Concerns: The National Visa Center (NVC) has received your petition from U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services. Your NVC case number is ISLXXXXXXXXXX. Due to your petition type, you will not receive a request for fee payment or document submission. All case parties will be notified when this petition is forwarded to the assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. For the most up to date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulates current operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov. Regards," Its April now and I havent received any letter in the mail. What should I do about the approval date if its expring in May? Will they extend it automatically? I tried contacting NVC again about this last week and have received no response yet. Please let me know if there is anything I should be doing. My fiancee is in Pakistan. Thanks.
  11. I recently got my i-129F approved and it expires in Late May. I heard that Islamad is horribly backlogged. What is the current interview time frame? I heard its like 6 to 18 months.
  12. Thanks. My I-129F was very front loaded with the engagement photos, other parties, and chat logs. Also statements of willingness to marry etc. Should I wait for the NVC letter then send out an extension request? Also when am I able to complete DS-160?
  13. So I found out my I-129F has been approved. I was doing some reading and basically this is what happens now: 1) USCIS will send me a letter that my case has been approved and they are sending it NVC 2) After a few weeks, NVC receives the case and assign it a number. NVC will send me a letter with this case number. 3) NVC will then send it to the embassy/consulate of my fiancee's country. 4) ONce the embassy receives it, we then have to prepare DS160 and I-134F 5) My fiancee then takes the medical exam and schedules the interview appointment 6) During the interview she provides DS160, I-134F and other forms 7) She then receives the K1 Visa after the embassy/consulate makes the decision Correct me if im wrong somewhere here. Also my fiancee is in pakistan My questions are: 1) I was reading somewhere, that I should call NVC instead of waiting on them to provide me a letter with the case number. Is this still the case? 2) How do I track the status of the case once it reaches NVC? 3) When exactly are DS-160 and I-134F forms needed? 4) What other forms do we need to prepare or what other documents can I gather? 5) Can the I-129F approval be extended? IF so who should I contact and what is the benefit to this? 6) Will my fiancee be preparing the forms and documents from now or do I the petitioner have anything else to complete? 7) Can I help my fiancee with the forms and documents? Its just so confusing after NOA2. All info would be appreciated
