  1. The tourism visa allows "short recreational course of study" , "for example, a two-day cooking class while on vacation". Since the classes don't amount to any form of certification and are free, I'd say she's fine.
  2. No, that should be fine. As long as the name on the reservation is matched with the person identifying themselves at check-in, you're good.
  3. Verify that your partner has put your name on the reservation as American hotels are strict about identification. Your name must be on the reservation and you must identify yourself if your partner isn't there with you to check in.
  4. It depends on your embassy. Some schedule it for you, others let you schedule it.
  5. Our petition was approved without providing any chats. You should be fine without them, provided you show hard evidence of having met (which is the threshold of the i-129f petition). KJ2024 has pointed out the best evidence.
  6. What the other users are saying on the forum is the point I tried to make (but I clearly didn't do it well enough): The amount of time you get to marry after entering the USA on a K-1 visa is, and always will be, 90 days. The amount of time you have to enter the USA is 179 days after your medical exam (provided you have a valid K-1 visa in your passport).
  7. Your medical check is valid for six months from the time it was performed. You need a valid medical check and a k1 visa to enter the country. From the moment you enter the USA you have 90 days to marry and file for your adjustment of status. At this point, the validity of the medical examination does not matter anymore.
  8. You wait until you get your NOA2. Read the guides on this website. It’s very helpful.
  9. I believe she will be alright. As long as she gives honest and clear answers, there is little to worry about. Her history shows compliance with the law after an overstay, with the overstay being under exceptional circumstances. They have all the documentation they need to make an informed judgement. She will probably be questioned about the situation, but there is nothing to hide.
  10. No problem. Just make sure that you get the physical NOA1!
  11. File a new petition as if you're starting all over again.
  12. This is the digital equivalent of your NOA1. The petitioner (us citizen) should also get the NOA1 in snail mail. As this message has been there since June 10th it might be a good idea to contact USCIS.
  13. This is the correct answer. The instructions tell you to skip the questions.
  14. Currently scheduled for Sep 10th, with my medical on Sep 17th.
  15. I'm in the same boat as you - marked ready on July 18th and I haven't heard anything since (no P3 in the mail). So, I've taken matters into my own hands and followed the instructions that are posted online - they seem to be accurate. After going through all the steps I was able to schedule an appointment!
  16. Some officiers have reasoned that not everything on the paper is legible (not English) and they can therefore not verify that all the information is valid. Also, compliance. Be safe, not sorry.
  17. Unfortunately this experience is outdated because of the move to Frankfurt. Translate your documents to English, even the ones with multiple languages. Frankfurt does not accept Dutch language documents. The multilingual version has been rejected a few times.
  18. That'll do it! Thank you for your anwer!
  19. Hey all, so I am filling in my DS-160 and i am having an interesting issue - my travel history is too long. The form asks you to fill in all travel history and my I-94 runs all the way to 2016. I made a lot of short trips (7 days or so) to see my fiancé, so my list is long. The issue is that the form won't make me generate enough entries for me to fill in all my trips. I've started with my most recent trips and worked my way back. Will this issue be a problem if I explain it during my interview? Has anybody else experienced this?
  20. First of all: congrats! It seems like your question has already been answered in a previous topic you opened: Inform the NVC of your request through the Public Inquiry form. They usually answer in a few days. Be aware: it takes a while for USCIS to send the approved petition to the NVC. However, in your case, it might be smart to inquire early. Check nvc.state.gov/timeframes to see which dates they're currently working on. Edit: grammar
  21. The embassy/consulate should have given you instructions beforehand on how to collect the passport with the visa. Usually, it's sent to an address provided by you through a courier service.
  22. It all depends on the information you've been given in your packets. If it says to wait for Packet 4, and bring a letter of interview, do so. If Packet 3 instructs you to go do the medical, do so :). I am not an expert on your embassy and these things vary a lot per embassy/consulate.
  23. Consulate information on this website says it's part of packet 3. Since you've already received that, you should already know how to proceed.
