I was born in Mexico and obtained citizenship through marriage 7 years ago. During the residency process, I dropped my second last name (mom's) and added the suffix "II". Later, during the citizenship process, I was told that could not be done so I only dropped my second last name. After visiting Mexico for the first time in 22 years and working to get my kids dual citizenship I SOOO regret doing this! 😫 Is there anything I can do? My name is technically the same but it doesn't include my mom's last name anymore.
