  1. Congratulations! I was interviewed on Feb 23, 2024, and was refused. I filled out the office form, which is apparently DS 5535, and additional documents were requested from my wife. I got the impression that my case would be "pending documents" rather than "AP" as described at: https://ca.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/after-you-receive-your-visa/ and expected to hear back by the end of April, 2 months after the additional documents were delivered and the forms were submitted; however, after almost five months, I have not heard back yet. In response to my question, the officer told me that everything about my case will be done at Montreal Consulate. If you don't mind, could you share the contact info. of the law firm that you used for filing WOM? Thank you!
  2. I was in AP, and denied at the airport by CBP.
  3. Yes I had a TN visa and after the interview, when AP'ed, was denied at the airport! Prior to the interview, never faced any denial. It was the first time that I was denied at the border and a form was given, based on that, the denial was due to the unfinalized case.
  4. Thank you and sorry for the late reply! I hope so! So far, I had the longest wait time from DQ to interview (976 days) and now is waiting for AP!!! Since 2022, prior to the interview, I have followed up with NVC and Montreal Consulate more than 10 times until my interview. They never provided a clear response, and I believe my follow ups did not change anything. My EB-2 NIW submitted in April 2020, if I knew that it would take for such a long time, I never ever applied for EB-2 NIW!!! I was travelling to the US frequently for work prior to the interview, after that, the CBP denied my entry to the US due to this in-limbo situation and it cost my job!!!
  5. Thank you for introducing that forum and sorry for my late reply. I do not check out this forum regularly. The officer told me that the additional info. and documents would be reviewed at that Consulate. Given that, I thought that our case is "Pending Documentation" rather than "administrative processing", and was optimistic to hear back within two months; however, I have not heard back yet after almost five months. Hope it wont take years, if you check my timeline, my case took the longest (more than 900 days) from DQ to Interview compared to others on the google spreadsheet!
  6. @AnnaSalu Hi Yes, that is correct. The officer handed us two forms (221g), and requested our travel history since 15 years ago. On the form, there is a link to an office online form that the applicants should fill out their travel history and other questions. I don't know why! I am the applicant and petitioner. The officer asked my wife to provide her degrees, CV, etc. We submitted the forms two days after our interview and the documents were delivered on Feb 29 to the consulate. Based on the forms, we should have heard back 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of the documents, means by late April; however, I have not heard back anything yet.
  7. I am wondering if you could provide an update on the status of your visa? Has it been issued? If so, how many weeks/ months after the interview? Thank you
  8. I am wondering if you could provide an update on the status of your visa? Has it been issued? If so, when? Thank you
  9. No it does not affect processing time. I added my child to our case by uploading and submitting the scans of birth and identity certificates through NVC portal. Please check FAQ section on NVC website.
  10. If I were you, without a doubt, I would transfer my case to the other country as Montreal consulate is one of the worst. Before make a request for transfer, research and educate yourself about the waiting time, etc. of that consulate.
  11. Thanks a lot, great smart advice, will definitely do!
  12. Yes, that is really odd and frustrating. I am the only guy in the spreadsheet who is DQ in June 2021 with current priority date (April 2020) but was not invited for an interview yet.
  13. Train, it will cost you around $2000.
  14. Apparently, no IL has been sent to anybody since last May. I have been DQ since June 2021 and my priority date is current (2020 for EB2), but no response to my follow-ups nor IL yet.
