Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a few questions related to the K-1 interviews.
My petition was approved on Jan. 31 and I received email saying my case was sent from NVC to US Embassy in London on Feb. 27. I still have not received my Interview Letter which the US Embassy in London’s website says I need to schedule medical exam/interview. However, my case on the CEAC’s website is showing as “Ready”. I filled out an inquiry form on the Embassy’s website and am waiting to hear back. Do I need to do anything else?? Can I schedule the interview??
Next question, me and my fiancé have requested the “long” birth certificate as that is what the Embassy’s website says we need but is this an absolute necessity? My fiancé has the “short” version on hand it just doesn’t have both parents names on it. Would this be okay at the interview or should we wait till we receive the other version?
For the medical exam, does my fiancé need the Summary of Care from his GP? He hasn’t seen a doctor since he was a child and that was 3 hours from where he is currently living in London. How does he go about obtaining this and does he need it? He has the ‘little red book’ with his vaccinations/appointments from his Mom. Is this acceptable?
Next, how long does the ACRO police certificate take to arrive? We applied about 2 weeks ago and paid for it last week. He has only ever lived in the UK.
Thanks so much everyone!! :-)
