  1. I'm reading on Reddit USCIS that people are getting approved in 12 to 14 months. My friend and his spouse who are living in the Philippines got their 1-130 approval on 6/30 2024. They applied May 2023.
  2. I guess this was spam. I received this email in January. That's why I said file online. Don't be so sarcastic next time. No need to capitalize the word "CANNOT" Thank you for your cooperation. Again, this was emailed to me. It must be spam, because you the expert. Announcement: Effective January 1st, 2024, USCIS is proud to announce the online processing of Form I-129F. This exciting update streamlines the application process, offering greater accessibility and efficiency for applicants. We're committed to enhancing your experience and look forward to serving you through this digital advancement. Visit our website for more information and to begin your application journey today! #USCIS #I129F #OnlineProcessing
  3. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice to reschedule your appointment. There is no penalty if you reschedule your appointment.
  4. Please go to this PSA link. If the PSA and civil registry records are both blurred, that's when you will be required to file a petition for correction of clerical error https://psahelpline.ph/blogs/how-to-file-a-petition-when-your-birth-certificate-is-blurred
  5. Your welcome. I forgot to mention that they actually issued a new modern birth certificate.
  6. I wonder why it's taking so long? My wife went to the PSA and received her father's replacement birth certificate in one hour. His birth certificate was just exactly as you described. Handwriting and cursive.
  7. You can handwrite your signature using Adobe fill and sign function. You use your finger or stylus to sign
  8. You can actually do everything online. I did everything online from filling out their forms, to submitting all documents online via the USCIS website. You can also check your progress online at the USCIS website.
  9. I hear you. I was attempting humor when I compared the FAQ's, to traffic laws in the Philippines. It seems all the laws in the driver's manual are just 'guides' because expats seem to be the only ones that follow the rules.
  10. It's ironic that we can't use the FAQ's to guide us. I'm temporarily living in the Philippines until my wife gets her approval. The FAQ's are just like the traffic laws in the Philippines. All motorcycle must have working taillight, brake lights, turn signals and headlights. No after market loud exhaust. No more than 2 passengers on a motorcycle. Yet, based on my experience, 50 percent of all motorcycle drivers are violating the rules.
  11. Thank you. I appreciate your time in answering my question. I'm retired. If I have a secondary residence for rental income will the Consular Officer accept that as an asset?
  12. You can complete the I-130 online and submit it online along with all documents from the USCIS website. There is no need to mail it in. It's easy and the form is easy to fill out.
  13. Hello sir, Your statement has caused me confusion as it states sponsors may include the value of their home. Please clarify. Thanks. USCIS FAQ states that Financial sponsors can only include assets that are convertible into cash within one year. Examples of assets easily convertible to cash are savings, stocks, bonds and property. Sponsors may include the value of their home.
  14. If he isn't going to be moving there to be with you through the petition process are you prepared to have a long distance relationship for 14 months plus? I'm living in the Philippines with my wife. I applied for my I-130 in May 2023 and I'm still awaiting approval.
  15. I use a virtual address for my U.S. Address with iPostal1. They are a physical address. You can choose any state and many cities in each state. Each customer is assigned a unit number just like an apartment building. My USCIS address is registered with this address. All my bank accounts, drivers license etc are registered to that address. When you receive mail they scan the outside of the envelope. If you wish they will scan the contents in pdf or forward you the mail. This can be done through The app.
