  1. hey guys! so a couple things for you all - police reports take about 6 weeks to obtain so it might be worth reaching out now so that we don't need to wait on these once packet 3 comes - make sure you ask for the correct report and mention that you need it for the K1 visa - for the question on the ds-160 about crossing the border, you can reach out to the border closest to you and they can get you a report of this - the timeline for this part of the process is starting to pick up so we might be the lucky ones to get through this quicker!
  2. also remind that anyone that got their approval on/before may 24th can fill out the form on the landing page of your approval. i don't know that it will do a whole lot, but they apparently give you a more accurate timeline on this. i submitted mine today and they'll get back to me by july 10th (sigh) but might be worth trying!
  3. honestly i would take having the approval and being at this stage over still waiting for the approval and quicker interview time. at least the fear of being denied or getting an rfe is gone! pending the interview goes good😄 i'm not sure how useful or accurate this is for right now, but one of my friends submitted dec '21, got approval feb 15th and her interview is on tuesday. so if that's accurate still (here's hoping) we could all have our interviews by september 😊
  4. yep everyone gets this! so i was a bit confused at first too but i think it's just the official notice that your case was approved. we got it as well😊
  5. he told us the packet 3 will include instructions to complete form ds-160 and provide any additional docuemnts they request prior to the interview. so i'm thinking once the packet 3 is received, the ds-160 and other documents can be sent in i think once all this is done, the interview and medical can be scheduled i could be wrong tho, someone else might be able to confirm!
  6. yes absolutely!! i do think everyone is a little stressed out and frustrated right now (very understandable) but this is much better than our cases sitting there with no movement on them. it's like a bonus few months to spend with our families and make memories that we wouldn't otherwise😊 and we all know that as soon as one of us gets some more good news, it'll be posted on here and we'll all start moving forward again!
  7. yep- https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ you just need your USCIS case number for this one but be careful not to submit it until you get your packet 3 from the embassy
  8. no i haven't started this yet but i have started the ds-160. i thought the ds-160 was only valid for 30 days but our lawyer said we could start it...! the amount of documents is unreal lol
  9. okay makes sense, thanks!! this might be a bit of good news for everyone, but i do know that someone that got their approval feb 15th, got the notice the nvc rec'd their documents on april 14th and interview is june 13th. so not ideal but might be a realistic timeframe!
  10. question for everyone here- we got our NOA2 on may 24th and my fiance (in the us) got the form i-797c yesterday in the mail. does this mean the nvc will receive our case shortly or does everyone get this soon after being approved?
  11. NOA1 - March 28, 2022 NOA2 - May 24, 2023 422 days, so excited to be at this step!
  12. thank you!! noa1 was march 28. i see yours was before that so here's hoping yours comes this week!

  14. they have absolutely no reason to do this. use some logic and process everyone's in order literally this.
